LeBron Heads To Florida. Mistake or Good Decision, You Decide.

United States
July 8, 2010 9:07pm CST
Today on July 8th, 2010, after a record breaking seven year career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, all star LeBron James has moved on to the Miami Heat along with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade (also all stars). I think he could really light up the Miami Heat, but it is still heartbreaking to see him leave his home town. Two questions for people: Do you think this was the right move, if not what team would you of liked to see him go to? Also: How do you think LeBron will do in Miami? Will he still put up the same numbers, or will the team be a bust? Thanks to all who read and please comment.

It's awesome!!! Finally a real challenger to the Fakers ( I mean Lakers). Of course I feel sorry for Cleveland. They are always getting ripped off. Maybe as consolation, they can get the #1 pick next year ( haha right). They should have done a sign and trade. Would have gotten something for Lebron at least. http://cheapdslrprofessional.blogspot.com/

You are exactly right! That is what bites at me the most. We lose the best player in the world, and we don't get a single thing for him.

Honestly I think it is a great decision, LeBron is going to be playing with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade! Next year or the year after that they will all have NBA titles! This is great for all of them and I wish them all the best of luck in the NBA. I am from Chicago and honestly wished they had come to Chicago, but they are getting great pay and they have a big chance of getting into the finals of the NBA if they all go to Miami. This is a good thing for them, but if you are a fan for another team that you wish they had gone to, you will obviously say this was a terrible decision and say they should have gone where your a fan of. But, you have to admit that this is a great thing and will have all of these guy's names probably put into some hall of fame or something if they haven't been already.

I also think this was a good decision. Although it was hard to hear as I am from Cleveland.

Lebron is very hungry of winning a title. This is his desperate move of grabbing the first ever coveted title into his name. No other team could offer him on such deal as that of the Miami franchise. He was asking for another player who can help him. I think that the GM of the Cavaliers was too complacent that Lebron will come back to the team. If Dan Gilbert want to keep Lebron on the team, he should get the services of Carlos Boozer, a Chris Bosh or an Amare Stouemire in the team. But for Lebron, his decision is hard but had too. He wanted that title badly.

he wants a ring but leave his home town like this... I think it wasn't the best moment.

As what Magic Johnson said, "Beat your rivals, not join them:". No doubt that Bron is the greatest player today but this only proves that he can't carry a team to a championship.

It's too early to decide. For one, they only have one contract player left (Mario Chalmers) besides the other 3 stars (I will assume that they trade Beasley). What kind of team would you be able to build with the limited funds left after signing 3 big name players? I am in the belief that they would try to pry a good shooter (possibly Mike Miller) and then the rest will be role players with average to low salary. This then becomes a team of superstars and unknowns. In the event that one of them gets injured, the sense of "supremacy" instantly crumbles. Also, there is the dilemma of having to share ball between the three stars. Bear in mind that all three are designated scorers in their respective clubs. If they humble themselves and settle for average stats to play good ball then all is fine, if pride comes in then there's a problem. The Celtics trio had little problems because they had accomplished stars whose only goal left is to win rings, the Miami trio however are stars in their prime who have yet to build legacies for themselves. On paper, these three names alone would make you want to pick them to win any game. However, if this was a good decision, only the outcome can tell. If they get a ring, then they made the right choice.

I believe LeBron was just answering to an opportunity that came knocking on his door and decided to take the risk. Well, I guess it's hard to resist an offer when you get to team up with two great players whom he has shared a victory with at the Olympics. I'd have to say, it's quite a big risk for him since he has to stop playing the "King" and be a playmaker for Wade and Bosh.

A mistake! Leborn bascially gave up on his team, and bc of that he's a sell out in my opinion. Now he will never be a kobe, tim duncan, Magic Johnson, or Michael Jordan bc he could not stick w/ his team and take them to the championship.

I think it was a good decision, Miami already had Bosh and D-Wayne so he prefered Miami 'cause they can win something this year but is also very strange to see him leave Cavs :S Chalk Clap 4 forever! :D
