I know it may not seem like much but it is a big goal that I have been working toward all month. It was bad at first. One two maybe two visitors a day. I even became desperate enough to use a traffic rotators ( A major waste of time, Nobody clicks on the ads). But after reworking my strategy, I started to actually get some visitors. The best place I have found to market my blog has been on Twitter and Yahoo Answers. If you have something of real interest to your audience, people will come. Anyway, for all you bloggers out there, how do you do it?

For me I used all available resources I could get, but just like you I also had a bad traffic at first but now I learned a lot since I know which place I could get a lot of traffic. First is yuotube then myspace, digg, mixx, stumble upon, squidoo, hubpages, apsense, and almost 40 forums and 100 social bookmarking sites.

Thanks, I am always looking for new places to market and get my stuff shown. I just started writing Ezines articles. I have heard they can really drive visitors if well written.

here is a simple tip write article on any of this paying sites that I mentioned then add a link that redirect your viewers to your blog's. After posting your article you need to visit it and on the bottom of it you will see a widget where you could share them join all those book marking sites and you will see the how many people will drive to your article plus on your blog.

Well I have tried to get into writing/blogging online before, it wasnt a big success. I guess I didnt put enough into it last time. I'm back now and think I will start with MyLot, and Associated Content. Do you have any pointers of how I can make this attempt a success?

The best advise I can give is to keep your blog very specific to a particular niche. People are usually looking for very specific information, so tune your blog to that. That is the best advise that has be given to me and think it makes good sense. Mylot actually has been very helpful in the marketing end. I can respond to lot of different people fairly quickly. If they like my stuff, they are usually nice enough to visit my blog.

That is some great advice! Thank you. As you can probably tell, I am not a very experienced writer, but it is one of my favorite hobbies. I would love to make a small income from writing on topics of interest. What would be the best places for a writer like myself to get started?

I comment on other blogs in my niche to get friends who are interested in the same stuff, and to get part of their visitors. I am more or less around in the same situation you are now, but I have been doing this for like 6 months, so my method takes a lot of time. Many of the visitors visit on a regular basis though, so I don't really need to keep promoting the blog in order to maintain that result, which I like!

That is one good strategies also since regular visitors is one of the most important than some one who just brought by traffic exchange.
