Are Computers That Great? A Must Read For Computer Lovers!

To start off, I am a huge fan of computers. I think they really are a great thing. Lately though I've been hearing a lot of talk about how people take advantage of the gift computers have given us. People use them for hacking, scamming, and looking up nasty and vial things. Computers were made for connecting to others, and surfing the web. Humans have once again taken advantage of something good. So two questions are: Do you know people who have taken advantage of computers? Also: What do you think we can do to stop all the wrong things people are doing on computers?

since these people are also adept in hiding their true personalities, we can't really pinpoint them and start lecturing..i guess the best thing to do will be to spread more awareness on such nasty activities using the net still.. one can post add on social networking sites to start..then the next thing will be for us to refrain from doing such.. take the lead and be an example..

Like Chinese wisdom said in this world there always Yin and Yang to make a balance. I really learn to accept it and we will had a bad thing in our life like this, being scammed by others.
We just need to be careful with what ever we do in internet especially with something related to money or investing. I had to admit I have been scammed too but luckily the only thing I lost is my time but its still sucks.

It isn't a recent thing. The internet and computers have always been used for bad things as well as good things, just like most any other product that comes out onto the market. People are going to learn how to exploit things for either their own amusement or for their own benefit. It's an unfortunate thing, but you're going to inevitably run into it in any market that is out there.

computers are really great help to almost everything we do everyday. however there are people who use it in some nasty ways. I cannot think of a way to stop people who use the machine in a wrong way because this has been the problem all over the world ever since. all i can say is that we the users should be sensible enough over the use of these machines, be more educated and be more sensitive on others opinion.

Hi, I don't think we can stop them. Computers are easy to access, I don't think we can stop the people abusing using computers.

The computer is one of the most important inventions in human history; it has revolutionised society: so of course, it will have a dark side; that is inevitable given human nature; although i personally don't know anyone who has used a PC for purposes other than those falling within the realm of human normalcy. I think pretty well all is being done to minimise the dark side of the internet; and can't think of anything much more that can be done except more of the same.
