Don't enter your cell phone number for results of taking the quiz. In fact, don't enter your cell number for any other promotions or prizes. Why? Believe it or not you will be charged for a subscription or other such thing. If you pay your cell bill monthly, make sure you look at the charges. I found out about the unahorized charge of (I forget if it was $9.95 or 19.95) easily because I have the pay-as-you-go plan. If my balance was $26.00 yesterday and $4.00 today you bet I was on the phone with the cell phone company. Fortunately, the amount was credited back to me and a block was placed against any other unauthorized charges. Have you had a similar experience where you were charged for something you didn't ask for? Maybe you were enticed by the opportunit y to win something?

Hi Joyce, I haven't experienced this personally but a friend signed up for something but by tacting STOP it prevented further charges. I am so wary and always read the small print of these things as they tend to charge about £1.50 per minute too. I won a prixe in the post but to get special number I had to listen to a call of up to 6 minutes at £1.50 per munite and prize was probably worth less than that so I never made the call but I guess some people would have done. Huggles. Ellie :D

What happened to me was quite weird since I was charged by my phone (landline) company for two calls to a number in the Pacific Ocean. Imagine, Pacific Ocean? I can't believe it at first but then upon complaining (I also wrote them a letter) to the telco, I was told that the number 'you called' was on a ship sailing in the Pacific Ocean. What the heck, I don't know anybody there. Each call costs more than 500 pesos (I forgot the exact figure) and I can't get a refund from them even though I told them that I never made that call. So since they don't want to give me a refund, I just paid my bill less the amount of calls to that ship number, and I terminated their services. I did not pay it until now no matter how much they bug me to do so.

Wow! That had to be very alarming. Was that a result of giving your number to some outfit who claimed you were winning a prize? Thanks for sharing your experience.

hi joyce mine was a little different but the result was similar as I took a survey sponsored by some off brand of phone service' and unbeknown to me by putting our wireless phone number down 'my son got charged 29 dollars for this phone service whatever the heck it was. I did not sign up for it but they billed our phone service for this.so from then on I never used our phone number for anything but proper usage.
