We do see youngsters shopping for no actual reason these days.Just to kill time also, they are ready to go for shopping and buy something which is not the actual need of that time. This trend is not helping them in any way as it does make them lose money at fats rate. Most alarming thing is females are more attracted towards shopping these days than men.Do you also have this habit of shopping for just time pass? don't you all think that shopping is an addiction for many people now and is a bad trend?

shopping defintiely can be an addiction or a symptom of a mental disorder such as bipolar people.. when they go manic some just blow money they dont have and go into debt when usually they wouldnt.. i know some people that were raised that gifts and money = love are usually ones that like to shop because it makes them feel loved.. of course some people are just stupid or dont care if they have the money and want to have what they want to have right then.. i like to window shop but if im in a blowing money mood (im bipolar) i will stay home to make sure i dont spend any lol

Infact i have seen many people over here who go shopping for nothing to buy and then ending buying in lots as it really has become an addiction sort for them and they are also not thinking much on these things and i feel only after a few months they will know how much of financial debt they are in!

shopping does kill time for us youngsters but really there isn't much to do over the summers now a days with the weirdos in our areas. though shopping isn't such a bad trend to pick up on. it is only a matter if you know how to shop which is a lesson that needs to be taught by parents.

When there is no work to do, you prefer shopping? do you also shop without the actual need of it? maybe you will kill time by shopping, but don't you think your pocket also will have a hole once you finish off shopping as most of the times you end up buying things which you don't need to buy at point of time..am i right here? many of them have fallen to this shopping addiction unknowingly and are also not ready to agree for the word addiction as many would say it is not an addiction !

I do shop around sometimes to pass time. I do however do not just buy things that I don't need. In my opinion shopping should be fun but not to the point of being irresponsible. for me it is a stress reliever. But I have to tell you that I am a frugal person and I don't buy things that I don't have to. And yes, I do think that compulsive buying or shopping can be an addiction and to some point can affect their lives. When it becomes out of hand then psychological intervention may be required as most addiction.
