How long would you work a dead end job before you realized that it wasn't worth it?? I had been working in my previous position since last September and I left this past May because they tried to get me for something that wasn't my fault. But, for one thing, I wasn't getting paid enough for all that I did do, so I was relieved to go. How long could you last on a job you hated that wasn't really worth the money??

Not long...I have been at my job now for going on 12 years and it;s the longest I have ever had a job. Just when I think it's a deadend job..something happens and I see a chance or get a promotion..lol..I have been close to quitting several times but have hel strong..lol. It is one of the higher paying jobs in my area and it would be hard for me to find something that equals it at this time. Sometimes I hate it though. It's very hard work.

Aww well in that case, if you're getting paid the decent money, I'd stay. Keep holding on and if a better opportunity comes up, then take it!

This has happened to me...I joined as a marketing manager for a company ion the UAE. It was a new field and new place. I caught hold of a client online..i was so near to get the order...i was following up every single day...i have travelled so mant times to meet him...and it was almost 300miles. I have had so many talks with him...i have revised the quotation 3 times and finally he says that his client does not accept any other party apart form the list they had provided in the contract. I thought that all my months follow ups was a waste....But i learnt something new...it was just a testing phase. Failure is the stepping stone to success.

I definitely agree with that. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and life serves as a learning experience... the entire time we're here. I'm so glad that you didn't give up as a lot of people in that situation do!
