What type of dog would be best for a busy person?

My girl friend wants a beagle... i want a great dane
my pocket wants to have no part in it
getting a dog is another expense and because of our busy lives we may not be able to take care of them
so maybe we should just get a pocket pooch that we can all bring along
what type of dog would be best for a busy person?

hi chipesterkhan no don't get a dog of any kind if you do not have
time for the dog. Get a cat as they are lower maintenance and can be left alone in the house while you are both working. A cat with a litterbox and you are all set. otherwise wait til you lives are less hectic as dogs need a lot of care. It would not be fair to the dog or to yourselves until you have time to walk it and feed it and groom it and buy dog food and pay vet bills.
