how to add the HTML code in wordpress site ?

hi friends, i have a site in wordpress. since i want to improve the number of visits to my site. i wanted to add mysite in directories. when i add , it is saying me to add some of it's code in HTML code of my site.. can you help me where will be the HTML code of my site will be present..will it be present in settings...

sorry friend i too also does not know about html code,till now i could not prepare a site or blog for me,i am planning to prepare blog or site,but i could not,i does not know how to prepare blog or site,html code also related to the blog or site,so i does not about it,but i hope that our mylot friends can guide you in this regard,have a nice day
