So I just got off the phone with my cell phone company. Omg was that ever a rediculous conversation. I have been having such a hard time and to get to a representative is like pulling teeth. Pretty much no matter how hard of a time I am having they said I am sh*t outta luck, and I either stick with them or have to pay like 300 to get out of it. They told me on 10 different occasions that they would call me back. Did they? Obviously not. I just want to cry because they told me I have no choice at all. Like what do you do! I worked for a cell phone company call centre and they gave me all the lee way in the world to do whatever I wanted to make the customers happy. So calling mine is like, maddening lol. This is more of a vent than a discussion, as I want people forewarned about the issue, I dont know if I am allowed to say which company it is to stay away from so I wont right now I dont want to be deleted. Any one else ever have any other problems such as this? What do you do, I obviously dont want to take legal action but I dont want to be treated like dirt,

I think you can say the company. I don't see it written anywhere in the FAQs or guidelines about not being allowed to complain about a company. You are safe to mention the name of the company. And like you have mentioned, you are forewarning others for their own good. Well, I can just imagine. I hate having to talk to Cellphone companies, banks, insurance, etc. I try to stay away from having to talk to them. But I usually have to call the bank at least once a week or so. I haven't tried to call my phone provider in ages as I am on a Pay as You Go.

Ahh well in that case, its Virgin mobile. My phones completely broken and they said they would send me a package to send it back to get fixed so I waited a week and called since I never got it, the guy was like oh yah cause the rep never sent it. I was like are you kidding me you guys are really that bad at your job? Also I have been told on 10 different occasions I would get a call back to helop me out since the actual reps dont know their job. Never once got a call back. lol the other day I was on hold for 20 mins and as soon as i got a rep he was liek yah once second ill check, put me on hold and sent me back to main menu, i was on hold for 45 minutes before i talked to someone. I cant believe their allowed to treat their customers this abd and its like no big dweal since regardless their pumping money out of us

Both my land line and my mobile company would charge me if I left them or I'd have yo pay out for the rest of the contract or whatever it is they say. I think it's really unfair and I can't believe there isn't some kind of law against it because of free trade. We should be able to change companies as often as we want without having to pay extra. I also find it impossible to actually talk to an operator when I call my mobile phone company too, everything is automated and you just end up listening to the same options over and over again.

Well, I do have my share of phone woes. When the first Malaysian Idol competition took place in Malaysia, I was watching it on the telly with my family. A month later a cheeky phone bill came claiming that I had phoned into the competition and charged me close to USD30. I told them to remove the bill as no one made those calls. The phone was with me throughout the live telecast of the Malaysia Idol competition. After some rounds of rude conversation they they agreed to look into my problem. Subsequently, it was taken off my bills. These people at the Customer Relations at such phone companies must undergo re-training!

yah, Ive had trouble where I would call my boyfriends house, and it would give me long distance charges that said I was calling a place that is actually a 45 minute drive away from his house (its not like we live in boondocks there is a TON of towers around here this shouldnt happen) I call the company and they had said that its too bad, the charges were legit, and I would just have to deal with it. Thats LITERALLY what they said. I was in complete shock that they could just tell me whatever deal with it. I mean, i worked for a cellphone company call centre, and we had to do what the customer said no matter whether we thought they shoudl get it or not, and my phone company just pretty much throw me in the dirt and spit on me, its crazy theyre able to do this. Not liek I can't just stop paying them though, or else my credit will be affected. Tough situation:(

I know what you mean. There's a lot of "customer service" places that are hell to have a phone conversation with. D:

The hardest part is actually getting someone on the phone. I had the same problem last week. Then when I finally got someone they kept saying I'm going to put you on hold while I research your problem. I was watching the Clark Howard show yesterday on CNN Headline news and he mentioned a company that you can sign up for that when you are put on hold they will hold the line for you and when the customer service finally gets to you they will get a message to push 1 to be put in touch with you that will direct a call to your phone.
