So.... I've been in a few department stores... Wal-mart, Sears... places like that looking for good solid cookware that will last me for quite awhile... 20-30 piece set which includes it all. Around Christmas time last year Paula Deen couldn't even be found, it was selling off of the shelves like hotcakes. I was told that Martha Stuart makes good products, too, but some things I just like to see or preview before I buy, such as items like this. So, therefore I have to see it first. I haven't been able to find any type of cookware set in stores that I can look at. Which do you think is the better brand with more value??

i cook a lot and i wont buy any cookware unless i open the box and see if the handles and pot or pan are screwed on or riveted on and how thick the frying pans are. paula dean will sell better in the southern states compared to stuart which sells better up north and north east. all according to what you want to pay i would go to williams sonoma for good pots and pans they wont smoke when heated to excess and the handles dont get hot or even warm they have excellent cookware

I agree with you about the northern/southern aspect.
What's Williams Sonoma?? Can you tell me more about that?? What kind of stores can I find them in because as I've stated before, I would like to be able to see it first.

www.williams-sonoma.com ----- go to store locator and put in your zip code. it.s a cooking utensil store, to me it's like a candy store all sorts of neat stuff, their usually found in malls, they sell everything from a cherry pitter to scilian 1st cold pressed olive oil.

It appears that there is one in the nearby city of Greensboro, NC.. about 45 miles away. I will have to check that out. Thanks for the information!!

Paula Deen is more home country motherly cooking
where as Martha Stuarts rolling in all her dough!
She is more about her money. I like how Paula Deen brings her family into her shows!
