A new spice to be added while you cook.

Friends, you have taken your meal prepared by yourself, your mummy, your sisters and of course your wife, not once but several times. You have also taken meals in hotels, restaurants, club-houses etc. Do you notice something, I mean in the taste of meal which you take in your own house and outside? Taste differs a lot. You might enjoy the food outside as they could be richer in their colouring, spices etc which could be missing in the food cooked in your house. Even then, you feel satisfied when you take your meal in your house. Reason is very simple. Women, while cooking food for their near and dear ones, add a pinch of special spice while preparing to cook the food and a whole bowl of the same spices while they actually cook the food. Did you guess what spices they add? Yes, you are right, it is their love and affection for their own. I have often noticed when my wife prepares food in good mood, I find great taste. However, when she is in foul mood, taste of food differs so badly that I hardly enjoy it. I proved it also before her. She had prepared some vegetable for lunch and she was in great mood. When I praised the cooking, she felt so happy. In the evening, I deliberately fought with her just before she was going to cook and I spoke some harsh words which she could not digest. Outcome, the night-meal was worst in taste. Then I told her reasons why I wanted her mood to be spoiled. She laughed heartily. You get a lesson out of it. Never spoil their mood when they are going to cook if you want tasty food as the major ingredient spice LOVE would be missing.

udaymhohan hi yes I imagine that does sort of add flavor and zest to any meal when its done with love. shame on you though using your poor wife as an experiment. wow she must be really a nice person as she laughed and forgave you. I got another lesson at breakfast today. We sit four to a table and we are assigned tables. We have this one newcomer, She complains non stop about everything, the food, the serving, the servers. I found out that listening to someone constantly belly aching gives me indigestion. Unpleasant words tie ones stomach up in knots. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hatley, I had read about this new-comer. I am sorry I could not immediately responded to your discussion. Yes, I can understand the irritation you might be developing. However, I would request you to just to ignore her. I am sure within a few days she would understand her folly. Yes, I am also sorry for using my wife to deliberately cook bad meal so that I could make her understand how love and affection make great difference.

I agree with you 100%. I love cooking and baking. However, I don't like cooking only for myself. Why? Because I love it when I cook for somebody. When I see the smile on their faces after tasting the food I prepared, I feel good. That's the same secret ingredient I have with your wife's additional spice to her cooking. I'm glad people like you and my better half know how to appreciate us.

I totally agree that whenever a person is in good mood in cooking,it would really taste good. As my mother would always tell me that whenever we cook whatever it is,we should be smiling or the willingness is there.
