German and Bayern Munich player Thomas Mueller wins the Golden Boot of FIFA World Cup 2010 scoring 5 goals and 3 assists for goals.
He is the highest scorer jointly with David villa (SPN), Diego Forlan (URU) and Wesley Sneider (NED), all 5 goals. but He is deleared as winner for the higher no of assists for goal.

I simply cannot agree with FIFA on this one. I think to be fair they announced their new metrics based system of Goals, Assists, Minutes on the field before the tournament began. But I simply do not agree with the system. I think number of goals is fine, but then you need to see the quality of the goals, the timing of the goals. I mean the Forlan free kick against the Koreans was the defining moment of the match. Then you have his goal in the third place match against Germany which to me was one of better goals of the tournament. Most of Mueller's goals were either tap ins or headers from free kicks. You simply cannot compare the two!!

I think there are all the rules you are telling there but there should be some priorities over the rules which should be given much more preferences which is lesser. As we reached in a typical situation of 4 players are in top-scorer positions, then they give the more priority on the assist for the goals.
And in this point, young Mueller won the Award. Congratulation Mueller.
