Hello udaymohan, I totally agree with your comments about the final being really negative, with poor play. Although I do believe the referre had alot to do with that. After the first few yellow cards he should have done more to bring the game under control, probably his only solution to that would have been to show a red card to one of the football players. I think I would have rather watched Paul the octopus swim around for 120 minutes than watch this World Cup final, shame, as the game had so much potential with two great on form teams. Well done Spain, hard luck Holland, maybe next time.

Actually the dutch did not turn up to play football. They turned up with the malicious intent of hurting the players and stopping them from playing football. But justice is best served, when the culprit sees hope and then sees it dashed in front of his eyes. That is exactly what happened to the dutch. Just when they were 4 minutes away from the promised land of penalty shootout the Iniesta goal finished them off!! Good riddance!! Cheers! Ram

hi glad for those who rooted for Spain but for myself I am now hoping maybe we can see something besides the World Cup and football in discussions here. I am not a fan and I would imagine a few others are getting tired of all the many discussions about nothing but the World Cup. Enough enough enough.
