if you lived in 6th to above floor i dont think its health to use stairs specially if its more than 10th floor already. i guess its advisable to just use stairs up to 4th floor then use elevator from 4th to whatever floor. we used to do that while i was still working as a form of exercise whether one of us is fat or not.

I would have to use the stairs but climb in a pace that best suits me. I would invite a friend to go by my place and we'll take the stairs together so I won't notice how far I've taken. Climbing the stairs is great way of exercise and if it is done everyday then the body tends to cope with the stress and wouldn't feel exhausted that much after some time.

Smart topic :) Of course I'll use the elevator if I live in a multilevel building!

hello there! id do it alternately, like today id walk and the following day id use the elevator. or just walk on what i can do and if im unable to and my body surrenders then id not push myself too much so i won't be exhausted to the point of hurting my entire self. happy mylotting =)

I have starting to put an weight over the last couple years or so, and because of work and the family, don't have to much time for the gym. Bascially here in Tokyo things are sooo slow moving with the people traffic that I prefer to run up the stairs two steps a time than waiting for escalators/elevators. Is does feel good to burn off some calories before work.
