well, i have dug out this topic of 3 months, dear friend.. not with interest in the American .. or for that matter, any country's IDOLS.. but for starting a discussion with you over these REALTY shows. In fact, most of the realty shows bring money to the participants, to the sponsors, to the tv channels and such others, while robbing away the time and money of the viewers. The realty shows mostly are FIXED, whether you agree or not. And, adding INSULT to INJURY... the judges, the organizers, the sponsors as also the participants all PRETEND as if it is truly a SURPRIZE, when they all know the final outcome. I don't like ANY reality show. thanks for allowing me to tell you this. I AM OPEN FOR DISCUSSION

Hello consultrainer I apologise that I am not at all concerned about the money they make in these realty shows, I watch because of the enjoyment I get from watching it.. I am that pathetic you see. I am well aware of how these realty shows are fixed (but only recently though) and quite apalled by it but for American Idol it has made me realise the talent of some of its contestants. And if the results are really rigged, it is kinda big issue in my country. You see for three straight rows of Singapore Idol, the winners are of my race, malay. I dun see the benefit of making these people win though. They still cannot be as popular as their non malay counterparts. Therefore by rigging this result would not make the orgaizers more records to sell. But some of the non malays chose to trash this when the winner of the third idol was announced but I still cannot see the need because no matter what these malay winners do, they still face discrimination. But thats my opinion.

I feel sad, when I read about the discrimination. It has been here from the times, man was still an animal. and, he still behaves like an animal... in many ways. If you read the news about how the Australians and Kiwis are behaving in the ongoing Common Wealth Games at New Delhi, their racist comments, and unruly behavior... you will get to know the savage craze ... anyhow.. thanks for your patient reply. I feel honored to find you talking.
