Is well known different people have different habbits, customs, traditions, superstitions. Yet I spoted few are very commune. For example the expresion "knocking on wood"... A black cat crossing your way ... numbr 13 .. Today i want to tell you about a romanian .. wizdom, tradition or superstition ? There it is: NEVER SLEEP OVER NIGHT IN A ROOM WHERE ARE (ROYAL) LILYs ! While "lily" is a very general term in english for a full class of flowers (include also water lily ..), I have added to this post this clear picture representing exactly which flower(s) I am talking about. If you'll make a deep research, lily is inspiration for so called "fleur de lys", a famous mark of middle age ... royal families, nobles all grades, including the CHURCH have used fleur de lys drawings as brand ... But this flower is a killer .. Do you ever hear of this (bolded-caps above) ? Is something similar in your people traditions ?

Nope, never heard it. The second flower (top right), the calla lily, brings back memories. We had a whole flower bed full of them in our first house.
