Maybe there should be a constitional amenment defining marriage as between a man and a women. There are so many issues out there now such "Dont ask dont tell" which I believe should be left in place and many other questions I believe it should be defined one way or another. Each state seems to be trying to decide for themselves the question of gay marriage or civil unions and I believe it will be best for all of us to define. Civil unions should be ok and they should allow two people to share finances, benefits, etc and visit each other in the hospital if they they so choose. But they label of marriage should be reserved for a man and a women. Discrimination against civil couples should be enforced and two people have the right to live as they wish and help each other any way they wish but they do not have the right to call themselves married unless they are man and women.
