Bad service.

We bought a portable a/c for the kitchen last month. Its been on full time all of last week and this week also. It started making some weird noises, you can tell its the motors. We were told to call the company so we can exchange it. Well we did that, we have a credit number but we cant find any a/c anywhere. We've called all over, all the stores that might sell them but they're all out of stock. You can NOT buy any a/c at all anywhere!!! We called the manufacturer back and asked why they dont ship us one directly but the guy said that he was just an employee at customer service.......*&%$#$ isnt it his job to make sure we're happy with the product we bought?.....he flatly said that it was our right to be unhappy with the product. PERIOD! We couldnt reach a manager or anyone besides this guy. Have you found out that lately the quality of service leaves a lot to be desired and that companies just dont care what we think anymore?

Ok, if that employee can't help you, can you find that manufacturer website, or the company website. Under the site, you might find the public relation, or company info etc.... You might find the main office, and some number you can call through. You have to talk to the big guy instead of those customer no services. You complain to the PR manager, and get their attention on your discontent with the product. They will more than happy to replace you one.

I did all that, read the post above you. They dont have anymore a/c in stock. They can give me a credit but I dont want to get rid of the one I have now even if its noisy, at least it keeps us cool. We'll return it at the end of the summer, we'll get a credit and make an arrangement to buy another one next summer........at the same price!!! Thanks!

I'm curious about which was the company. Such a ultimate customer service haven't been unemployed till now is really a miracle. I can't imagine an employee in service trade dare say "it's your right to be unhappy with the product to their customers. I think you should call customer organizations or local court to solve the problem if their managers keep playing hide and seek with you.

I bought my a/c at Rona's and the company is Sunrise Tradex corp. Oh I could try to call some higher up person but all they'll say is that they are out of a/c and to return it to where I bought it for a credit. I could also call the BBB and file a complaint but it wont give me another a/c. The problem here now is that we're going through a heat wave and you cant find any a/c in any store anywhere in 40 miles around where I live. They're all out. So in the meantime, its still working but its making an awful clacking noise. Hubby opened it up to see if he could fix it. He managed to make it less clacking. We'll wait when some of the stores get shipments of a/c and buy from another company. THEN I'll make an official complaint to the company and the store where I bought it. Who knows, we might get another credit LOL. Thanks for replying.

What brand is the portable air conditioning unit that you bought MagicBubbles? Just wondering... maybe I can help you search for a phone number that you can actually talk to someone who can help you.

Sorry, just saw you had posted the brand of it above. Have you gone to their website yet? http://www.sunrisetradex.com/en/component/page,shop.browse/category_id,86/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,1/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=86&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&vmcchk=1

Thanks, yes we went to their site and yes we talked to Antoine. We talked to all of them and they all say the same thing. We can send you a credit but we dont have any machines in stock. So we keep the one we have for now until the heatwave is over and then we'll return it........and buy another one. Problem is......all the stores are all out of stock now. Seems like everybody in Quebec bought a/c to beat this heat. I also have family in Ontario and they couldnt find any over there either. You'd think companies would hurry and manufacture more units to make money but they dont seem to be interested. I wish I knew there would be a heatwave, I would have bought a large stock of a/c unit and now I could make money selling them off lol. Even Walmart is out!!! and most stores say they wont get anymore until NEXT YEAR!!

I think you once again called your manufacturer from where you purchase your things. Sometimes companies give us believing of their reliability but after purchasing product they were playing with us and always ignore our problems. So I think you may again contacts to your manufacturer.

I have to agree...customer service isn't what it used to be. It seems that companies used to bend over backward to satisify the customer, but not anymore. For one thing, they may use a call center, which means that it's hard to tell exactly where you're calling. Lots of work at home jobs are customer service, so you may have riched one of those people. I advise you to go back where you bought it and get someone there to contact their supplier. They may have better luck.

We went back to the store but they dont have anymore a/c in stock and wont get them for a few months. They buy directly from the manufacturer. We're told they'll give us back our money but I told them we'll wait until its less warm as im not wanting to have to live through this heatwave without that a/c in the kitchen. The only problem is that its very noisy but I dont mind. Thanks
