noisy neighbors...grrrr

Hi, Most of us experience such nasty neighbor at some point or the other. Though they say you should try to keep a good rapport with the neighbors but when things go beyond control like that of yours, how can one control the nerve and still remain a Samaritan neighbor? We too have similar experience with our immediate neighbor. This is not with playing music system however. What is worse here is that almost every morning the husband and wife involves themselves in the verbal fight and there is showering of of censorious words. We have a growing son. He often ask what is the matter with them. and we make this or that excuses so that he remains out of these gibberish. At the extreme the husband goes all naked when he gets too heated. I too was thinking of reporting to the local authority but now for some days they are quite silent. Me too take a nap after lunch when I am at home and Ii hate to be disturbed at that moment. And fortunately the midday time is quite peaceful and i can have my part. If you feel you could report to the authority for there is limit of everything.

I also experienced that before when we were renting an apartment. Our neighbor was playing music so loud early in the morning, that always interrupted my sleep. I let them be for few months, but I wasn't able to bear it everyday, I asked my husband to talk to that neighbor in a nice way. They stopped doing that for a while, but they repeated again. That's the time we decided to move. Fortunately our neighbors now are good and considerate and will just only plays sounds for few hours. In your case, if you can't stand it anymore, try talking to your neighbors also in a nice way. They probably just thought that you are also enjoying and not disturbing your sleep.

Hi. p3ks626. I think that you should just contact the local authorities on them. If you are renting where you are living at, you should contact the landlord about this too. They are breaking the law by having their music up sky high. People can be so rude without realizing how they are affecting someone else. You have been nice enough about it, now it is time that you do what is going to make you feel better and more at ease.

OMG, I so can relate to this. With our neighbor it's their shouting that really annoys me. They just can't stop arguing and shouting, with babies crying and shouting on the background. At the moment I haven't done something to get their attention yet- very patient, eh. My advice to you is try your best to approach them first. Be as calm as you are. Maybe they are not aware that you badly needed a rest during day time. If the problem persists, it would be high time to report them to the right people in your village.

you should immediately reprimand them. Do not just complain the problem to the authorities. Remember, they are keep your neighbor, someday, maybe you'll need their help

Its relly a big problem to have noisy or bad neighbours.You must register a complain against them in local police station.Then only they would understand how to keep quiet.You must not get personally involved with them.

Are you in talking terms with your neighbor? if yes, tr talking to them as sometimes by talking to them the will also understand your problems and may reduce the volume of music which is really disturbing you.But if they are really rude as you say, you also do something to irritate them clearly saying them why you did that or else you can also give a police complaint regarding this

Welcome to the city, Philippine lifestyle. hehehehhehe. I know what dilemmas your going thru we have the same here also in Parañaque City, and I think with all other places of Philippines big cities. Because we don't have a law on noise pollutions or policing like on urbanize communities. What we have here are those VideoKaraoke jukeboxes, and we think we are been punishing everyday, you know those die hard want to be a next or rejected Pinoy Idols. It is hard to make complains because they are on other side of the perimeter wall with the jurisdiction of another Barangay or Village. Those people who giving us everyday and every night punishment are just illegitimate property owners that don't pay legal real property tax. As for us legitimate who pay taxes to the local government we have been treating really unfair from these kind of situations by the local government. Local government has more priority on those illegitimate rather than on us who are paying real taxes. Even we have already filed complains to the local they don't any action, they just tell us, just live life with them. Beside these illegitimate property owners on the other side of the perimeter wall who keeps us punishing of those wild loud NOISE (not music at all) of VideoKaraoke, are just living on shanties but with complete amenities like electricity, water and even phone and internet. It means they have lifestyles that are not really suited for them. It is really a complete ridiculous. Well just like they (our local government) said, just lived with them. But, till when?

Im sorry to say, that you made a mistake. You arent supposed to let the neighbors slide at all. The first time it happened you shouldve just gone over there and told them it was bothering you. If they did it again, warn them that next time you are going to call the police. And if it happens a third time, thats when you call the authorities. They wouldve most likely stopped, and if they didnt, you just call the authorities again and again until they finally stop. Now i just explained to you what i did when my neighbor would be partying 24/7. And i also just described what you should do from now on. I hoped this helped.
