In what time or period would you like to exist?

The 12 hour electrical power blackout last night was for the record. Good thing my freezer was empty. I did not have to worry about rotten food. But back to basics did we live for most of the night, all creepy with the eerie howling wind. Little did we know that the eye of the storm was upon us. I lit our old candelabra. My daughter had to burn the midnight oil for her genetics exam. And I laid quiet and meditative, holding my rosary for so many reasons. After some long minutes, my daughter softly spoke... Hey ma, I feel like Jane Austen while she was writing her Pemberley story. I answered, You like to be Lizzie Benette? She replied, Oh yes! But not poor. Sort of middle class! I quipped, Mrs. Darcy then! My daughter said, I just like the time Jane Austen existed. It was a wonderful time. I whispered, Yes, that was a good time to live. If you have a choice, in which era would you like to exist?

I like living in the present...or maybe back just a while when life was simpler....like when I was growing up in the 50's or 60's..families were much closer then too.

Hi, I hope the storm didn't do too much damage in your area. I live where we have hurricanes and all the mess that comes with them, like blackouts, debris everywhere, loud generaters, etc. The problem with these storms is that they do insist that you go back to some of the "old" ways. No lights, no phone, no refrigerator, no television, etc. There is always an up side to all situations. In your situation, you turned it into a positive instead of dwelling on the negative. I like the way you and your daughter communicated and reminiscenced about the days of old. I too, like Jane Austen's timeline. I need to think about what I will do to keep myself from freaking out when our next storm comes. The only one that really scared me was Wilma. Since then I hate to hear that one is headed our way. I hope I am as calm as you two were.

No doubt some time periods in the past would have been difficult to live through. However, whenever we live it is what we make of it and how we do it. I am perfectly happy will my present time frame and have no wish to change. If you are comfortable with your relationship in the overall scheme of things and allow your God to do His thing in your life then you will be content. Nice new pic.

I'd say some time in the future. But if we have to choose eras of the past, I'd like to be a baby boomer

i would like to be in the 15th century its the time of exploration heck i would go with the expeditions that was sent in the new world and in asia, imagine the vast wealth and adventures that they encounter, i would do anything just to go back in time, this period of time is kinda boring, even though we live in a democratic country i feel that there's no freedom in every person, its like every person are groom to " take a job in a office until he/she grow old " where's that excitement in that, i don't care if there's no electricity or internet, i just wanted to live in that period of time.

now, here or, maybe in the future a bit - maybe a lot... I wouldn't have made it much past adulthood in the old days with my allergies and all - and CERTAINLY not in TEXAS!!! I couldn't live here without AIR CONDITIONING!!!

I had a time of my child hood period about 10-15 years age. For every day it was a thrill and new things. All those days are my golden time compared with the rest of the period. The time of 3-4 to 9-10 is not much in my memory. Compared to the time now, that age group I likes very much. Even though, at present everything is around, music, mobile, internet, movies, tasty food, all & all .... but I hate the surroundings. No real love, people have everything but a state of nothing is the present time experience. However, in my life, the time after now also, I don't thing would be better. I liked my child hood time for ever. Regards, Thank-s
