Neutrogena is a well trusted brand. it's little bit expensive though. Why not try some home products. Home made facial masks are fun to make and give good results too. Browse through wittyliving.com They have different face masks recipes. We tried 2 of them last Friday and it felt so nice afterward. It was like going to a spa for a facial.

neutrogena is an expensive brand. i myself had trouble with my pimples and have tried countless over the counter medications. some worked some did not. but i learned over the years that the most effective way to minimize pimple outbreak is to lessen the oiliness of the skin. of course, we wash our faces several times everyday but then, after a few minutes, it becomes oily again. so, for many years now, i don't go out without a pack of OIL CONTROL SHEETS. they're paper and their purpose is to remove the oil from your face. you can get them from watsons's and sm dept stores and HBC stores.

I have been looking for that miracle cream for dark spots too. A lot of companies claim to be able to lighten them but none have yet worked. If you find anything good, please let me know. Happy hunting.

Hey there! I have the same problem with pimples, but a little bit less I think. I suggest that you go straight to a dermatologist. I tried a lot of products in my skin, but none of them completely helped. Some cured some, problems but none really completely saved it. Then I decided to go visit a dermatologist, and so far it's working well. My pimples are all gone, even those that doesn't look like one, the derma noticed it and removed it. She also prescribed me with medicines and so far it's working. My pimples are drying up and my skin is less oily. I suggest that you try it. Cause it's harder to treat once it just spreads like crazy on the face already. But if you really want to try out products first, I suggest you try the Neutrogena Clear Complexion Set. The one with Salicylic Acid on it so the pimples would dry out. That worked for me well. Also try a Tretinoin at night, but that could make you a little bit more oily. :)

I hear ProActiv is effective. Although it's far more expensive than neutrogena, however it already includes a facial wash, toner and moisturizer, so I guess that's a good deal. Besides I think neutrogena is more for sensitive skin while ProActiv is really for acne.

I had allergies before that looked like pimples. I consulted a dermatologist how to get rid of them. Then, they left scars on my face so I was given another product to lessen and eventually get rid of them. But his products are just made by him and can be bought in his clinic.

It would be better if you consult a very good dermatologist. Sometimes even if you buy a very expensive creams and solutions, it just won't work for you, especially those commercialized products, because it also depends on your skin type. Sometimes even if you do your beautification routine everyday, pimples are just so persistent. Even if the medications are effective at first, later it is not effective anymore..I had many pimples also before and oily skin for several years even if I do my medications religiously. I gave up doing facial treatments and it seems my dermatologist gave up already with my pimples, that's why she prescribed an oral medication. But you need to do some blood tests first before she will prescribe that medicines because it has adverse effects if taken without caution or prolonged use. And I also signed a waiver for that because it is not allowed to take it for pregnant women. But even if it expensive, I did not regret taking it because in just one month, you can really see great changes and in three months, the pimples even the biggest and smallest were gone, and the oiliness was gone totally. After 4months of taking it, I stopped already. I took it five years ago, and until now, I did not have problems with pimples anymore and oiliness. But of course, medicines vary from one person to another. You still have to consult about it with your dermatologist.

Hey PriscaJoanne10, if you really wanted to get rid of your zits and an oily face the best advice I could give is that you should consult it with a dermatologist. The doctor knows what's best, and merely asking anyone for solution and self medicating just makes you taking into a trial and error solution. Otherwise, If you wanted less expensive rather than to have yourself consulted with a professional you can also take glance on alternative treatments proven by beauty consultants on treating pimples. One thing that's important to remember is to keep your face from pollutants that causes pimples and wash your face as often as possible. Happy mylotting :)

I have terrible skin; it's oily and sensitive, so I can't deal with one problem without making the other worse. But this summer I've had some luck with the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therapy System, then I use some of Clean & Clear's salycilic acid based product. Always use products that are oil-free. You might also be making your acne worse by wearing make up. As soon as I stopped, my face started to clear up to the point where I can just put on a little concealer and look fine.
