I bought a 16Gb pendrive for pendrive from eBay from a China seller, but its only about 2Gb. But I got my money back when I gave complaint in eBay. I can copy 16 GB to pendrive ,but the data copied in the first 2Gb will only work. The seller had done some fake programming in the pendrive,so that it should should 16Gb when I check it. Now I want to make my pendrive correct, that is it should show only 2Gb when I check it. One of my friend said If I do low level format then sometime it is possible. Is it possible? Is there any firmwere in the pendrive If low level formatting is done should I install any firmwere. Please help me ...........

The firmware of your pendrive is altered to show 16 Gb, so it is useless to keep it, but it can be very difficult to format it under Windows. Maybe you can try under Linux : I have formated pendrives with GParted under Linux without any problem, though they were not fake pendrives. For a 2Gb capacity you can format it to FAT 16 or FAT 32. There is a Live CD for GParted. You can download an ISO image at sourceforge : http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/0.5.2-9/gparted-live-0.5.2-9.iso/download?use_mirror=switch I hope this help you.

Burn the ISO of GParted and boot it in your CD/DVD drive...
