I had seen a small ledger register of my grand father. In that I could see those accounts of daily expenses and income. It shows how well he managed the money and which helped us to live a better life. Moreover I used to keep accounts of expenses that were concerned to the club where I was selected as its treasurer. Now I am keeping my own daily expenses accounts and this helped me to manage my income well making sure that my income is spent unnecessarily. Moreover I had never been any accounting class. Keeping systematic details of my accounts have helped me a lot in managing my income.

I took an accounting class in high school and in college, so I know what type of ledger you are referring to. I don't keep track of my expenses this way, but I really should. I have not been spending any money at all recently because I need to save it all for my rent, but I was thinking the other day that I needed to start keeping track of my money this way. I have money coming into 3 different accounts, so it really would help me keep better track of my money I think.

Keeping accounts of my daily expenses helped a lot now that I'm beginning to live independently. I need to manage my money very well and to keep track of where my money goes.

well, from beginning of this year i had a feeling that I'm drawing too much money from the bank. I had no idea on how much I'm spending and where I'm spending. i just used to figure out that my wallet is empty and pump some into it from ATM. from last month i decided to log every expenditure of mine and analyzing my spending behavior. from then on i started to know how poorly managed my wallet was and started to organize things so that i spend reasonably on certain things.

I think keeping track of the flow of money is good, but it does not work for me. It just helps me to remember where I've spent the money, but it does not help me to save more. Even if I've already seen that I've spent my money unnecessarily it does not keep me from doing it over again.

Hi, friend. It's a good habit to keep account of our daily expenses. People often tend to spend much money on unnecessary things. Keeping account of daily expenses will surely help them to spend their money in a more planned way. But as a matter of fact, many people do not have such a habit, including myself. Sometimes, espeically when I fail to make both ends meet, I feel it urget to keep track of my daily expenses. During the first days, I can be persistent in recording all the details of my expenses. But but patience can never last for more than a week. After that, I begin to get bored and finally quit with a guilty feeling in my heart. But my problem is I don't have such patience and persevence to keep account of my daily expenses. I'm too lazy to do it.

Yes, whenever I spend something, I enter it on a sheet that I keep that has a column for each month. I even break it down if I spend on something that is bad for me, like candy, and if I got some kind of discount like used a coupon or something.

I have to admit that I don't keep track of my daily expenses. At the moment, I'm still in school, and my husband just graduated from university and is still looking for work. We probably should keep track of daily expenses, but it's just a little difficult for the time being.

I'm not as detailed as I should be but I do keep up with my finances. I think it's very good that you monitor yours so closely. I could take a lesson or two from you.

it is great to learn accounts and keep an account of whats going on in your daily life.you may never know what happened to your money after its lost so you better take care of it before this.i also do keep account of my daily life recording every transaction taking place with my money and keeping in mind that one day i too will have to earn my own money and not depend on my father anymore, this turned the table for my life has been handling itself all along...

I don't keep accounts of my daily expenses. Maybe because I am to lazy to do that. I've tried to note my expenses a few time, but after a coupple of days I gave up. I agree with you, keeping accounts of the expenses helps a lot, maybe I should try again to do that.

No i don't keep a expenses account of my spending, the bills all come out diret debit & i do a main shop once a week & more or less stick to my shopping list. My father in law every night at the same time checks his electric & gas meters, writes down his usage each day in a book.
