Guys, today i was thinking of the whole world without any gadgets like cellphones, laptops, media players etc. There would also be no internet. Doesn't it feel strange! Thank god that our generation has got all these. But can you still think of spending a whole day without using your cellphone? I personally cannot do this. I am too addicted to cellphone now. It has replaced a music player, digital camera, FM Radio etc etc. I use to put alarm only on my cellphone, so my day starts from switching off my phone's alarm. So spending a whole day without a cellphone is a very tough job for me.

Man! I just typed a huge ol' response to this and my internet crapped out when I hit reply. I have had to go without my cell phone when I leave it home on ym way to school sometimes. I don't wear a watch so my phone is the only way I can tell what time it is. I hate not knowing what time it is. My cell is also my main means of communication. I text, alot, so it's very wierd for me not to be able to text someone if I feel the need to. My dad also calls me before he picks me up from school. I can stay inside and work on projects until he calls and says he is there. Without my phone I have to hangout outside school until he shows up because I don't know what time it is and have no way of knowing if dad is on the way or not. I can deal without my phone, it's just frustrating and I would rather not have to.

I do need my cell phone everyday. I would certainly be lost without it. I don't talk all that much on it, but I do get calls on it everyday, so to be without it, I would certainly miss the calls, and I really don't want to do that at all. I am glad that I do have the cell phone I have, as I can do just about everything on it I can with my laptop, so when I can't access it, then I can do on my cell phone, what I normally do on my laptop. I will always have a cell phone, as I don't have a landline. Take are, and have a very good day.

Hello Leo2050, Yes, i can go days without my cell phone and have been for a while. need to get one now since my daughter at camp sometimes cell recption is better than regular phone...she can reach me anytime of day. Did I miss the cell phone...no not really... I did not not miss having to get a prepaid card to keep it loaded. I was not a very good text person either and still not even with this new cell phone because it trys to fill in the word for me and hard to find the backspace or the delete key to delete the letters I do not need etc... Thanks and have a great day! Sincerely Unique16

Yes I can spend a whole day without my mobile phone, because now I have spend about 1month without my mobile phone. It is, because I am a kid I can contact with my friends with Internet, but many people here is adult and can life whole day without mobile phone, because some of their jobs is associated with mobile phone. But, when my school days would start again I need my mobile phone back. I can imagine whole day without all electronic devices. It would be day without contact or something like It. Take care, Have a nice day!

Hi leo2050, unlike you totally, I don't play music, take photo, listen to FM radio depending to my cellphone. The cellphone I own just for the communication purpose with my loved one. Therefore I could live without it for the whole day except Sundays. My son who works in the other state usually would make a call to me on Sunday. In case there is any important matter he would call his dad if my phone is in the sleeping mood. To me my laptop is the most essential for me. I do all the online stuffs like having fun here at myLot, listening music, watching video and tv series, reading latest local and global news. I keep close contact with my relatives as well as friends via email as well. I kill my boredom by playing computer games often. I have a traditional small alarm clock to wake me up in case I have to wake up early in the morning. I switch off my cellphone during bedtime. Happy posting

I could still imagine those times that the mobile phone does not exist or it has but to the rich people only. Wherein if there is a meeting we will tell to each other that you must be in this right time and place where we could meet. The disadvantage of it is that you don't even know if others will come especially if they are already late. When you need to separate to each other because you are going to see and buy something else at the mall then it will not be easy without mobile phone where others can just see each other right away.

As long as I have the PC and Internet it's no problem.I don't use it too often.I keep contact with my friends online so... I use the phone as an alarm clock too but it's not such a problem for a day or more without it.

Many people find it difficult to turn off their cell phone, and consequently feel bound to carry it around everywhere you go. I hear day in and day out "I cannot live without my cell phone, it has everything" or "I don't know what I'd do if I lost my cell phone". Remember that your cell phone is a tool, and like any tool you can elect to use it or not, and you should only use it when it's the best tool for the job. At the end of the day, you should take a break from using it, and put it in the tool box where it belongs. While there are needs for around the clock connectivity, sometimes just taking a step back without the gadgets allows you to appreciate other things in life, and maybe make you realize that just because it's an all in one gadget, doesn't make it vital for you to live with it all the time.

i can of course as long as there are other ways i can get to contact other people. maybe by email or something. i only use cellphone to make sure i don't miss any important messages or that people can reach me easily when they need to reach me fast. other than i can just watch tv to entertain myself. or even listen to radio. but if i am sure that i won't need the cellphone or not expecting important messages. i can live without cellphone actually. i grew up when there was no cellphone. so i think i can still live without it.

Hi, Leo.;-) Yes, I can do without a cellphone. I'm only using the cp for communication purposes , receiving and sending messages either via text or calls. But if my husband isn't working at home, it is not comfortable having no cp to reach him or me. I felt not secured whenever he leaves the house and my phone isn't working. I don't know but there's something in me that tells me "I don't want to miss any of his messages". But, if he is here and all my kids, then, it doesn't matter if I have a cp or not.;-)

I can live without it. I used to forget my phone when I am going to office and I still survive. I can survive without it but give me another tool to be use for communication.

I can spend the whole day without my cellphone, laptop or internet. I have lived my past years without these gadgets and I still can be as simple just like before. Whenever there's a bad weather and we are experiencing power interruption, I would end without internet.
