When you see a mom like that you have to find out what type of background does she come from. Is that the same situation her mom was in and she is just repeating it rather than learning from it? Most of these foodstamp moms do it because they dont see another solution, this is the life they are used too and anything else would be too hard an effort for them to even try. Can you imagine leaving your kid at daycare to go work for 40 hours to give half of it back to daycare? Thats what they say and in a way they have a point but unfortunately by living off of foodstamps and other gov't dependancies they will just remain in the same rut and the years will go by in vain while they remain the same, the only thing that will change is that thier children will grow up to be that same burden in society that they saw thier mother become.

I am a mother with one kid. I am the only one supporting my son and I couldn't even think of buying myself expensive personal stuffs rather than providing those basic needs of my son. I agree that there are mothers like that. I've seen one, and honestly I couldn't agree in her principles that it not her responsibility to provide everything to her child, it is the father's responsibility. But the question is, what if the father's finances was not enough to sustain the family's expenses especially hers, since most of her stuffs are branded and really expensive. Having a child is a mutual responsibility not only on the financial aspect but also when it comes to taking care to them. But sometimes mother choose to raise the child alone because maybe it is good for the mother and the child.
