They say that when your'e single and hum music when your cooking you'll end up being a maiden? I know this is just a big myth and a superstitious belief but I too want to hear your point on this stuff. LOL

That is definitely not true. I mean, how will humming while cooking keep a girl from marrying? There are some superstitious beliefs that are worth giving a decent consideration because they have if not logical, at least believable bases. I know there's no harm in following those kinds of belief but we should also consider to ask ourselves, "On what grounds or on what is the basis of this belief?"

yeah, but other says that there's also nothing wrong on just believing on those superstitious belief and just avoiding coz what you might experience may be a proof if ever the belief becomes true.

I never heard about it before. I'm single and most of the time when I cook or take shower, or do nothing I hum my favorite songs. I don't see anything bad there. I'm from a Muslim country and my mother never stopped me for this nor anyone. She also love songs so much and hum when she works...I even didn't heard the saying among Hindus too...

Logically thinking there's no way humming music can be bad.

I have heard that before when I was in high school and people would comment whenever they will hear me humming or singing while cooking. It is indeed a superstitious belief and I don't it's true.
