Before I had my gallstones out I could not eat any fat at all or I would be in terrible pain. So I would recommend that you keep your father in law and a fat free diet, eating more fish and chicken than red meat. I hope he continues to improve.

Hi oldchem1, yes oldchem, i am giving him oil less food. Eating non-veg is it good for his health? I am avoiding to giving him. Actually doctor advised him to go for a surgery, but he is not accepting, so he opted for homeopathy but thanks god he is recovering. My doubt is whether it will repeat the same if in future. Thanks for your sharing. Have a good health and cheers.

I know how this problem can affect a person. I just had to have my gall bladder removed a couple of weeks ago. When my doctor told me what problem I had I went online and research remedies for Gall Bladder. There was so many different things that would have helped if only I had known I had this problem before it got so bad that it had to be removed. I suggest you look it up and search for home remedies for Gall Stones, that's what I put in the search bar. I found some really good things to do.

Thank you....It's just been 2 weeks today that I had the surgery. I am still hurting considerably. My doctor told me that because of previous surgeries that I had a lot of scar tissue that formed and he had to do a lot of cutting on me to get it out of the way to get to where they needed to be. He said I would hurt for 3 months or more. If I had not had the scar tissue then I would have hurt for a month or so. I have not done anything special since the surgery except to watch what I eat. I don't eat greasy foods or tomato sauce much at all. I don't need the heart burn or the acids from these foods to irritate my body.

Regarding stoppping the medicine Jotomy, he has to seek medical advice. But, you try and avoid too much of butter, ghee, fried stuff in his intake.Eating potato chips once a while may be alright but not frquently. For this fatty liver, doctors always advise people to refrain from ghee.My sister had a gallbladder removal operation and now she also seems to have fatty deposits in her liver.Your fil has not undergone surgery. It won't harm him to continue the medicne for a few more months.

Hi kala, yes i will do it, i will consult the doctor. Actually when we consulted the doctor first time, he said that medicine must be continue atleast for 3 - 6 months. But by the god grace he become normal. Yes i am giving him oil less and grease less food. Actually doctor said it is surgery case, so he gone for homeopathy, homeopathy doctor advised us it is not good to remove the gallbladder because it has linked with liver. I am feeling sad to know that your sister got this problem, my afraid is will it repeat? I do for him a lot, giving apples daily. I will apply oil to his feet, hands, neck and spine. Now he is feeling little better. But he is not that active like before. Thanks kala for your sharing. Have a good day.

72 is not too old if people are really fit. Does your fil have other problems like diabetes or BP?

jotomy homeopathic medicine will not stop gallstone only thing that will is to have the gall bladder removed. the doctor does know what he is talking about. He will have more attacks as I know because I was working and did not want surgery but now days its called band aid surgery as they just make a small incision and you only stay in the hospital if you have no one to take you home after surgery. I only spent one night in the hospital.

Hi Hatley, when he got pain in abdomen i took him to our family doctor, he told that there is no medicine for gall stones except to remove gall bladder. But my father in law didn't accepted for it. He don't want to go for surgery. Then i took him to Ayurvedic doctor, he also told the same, but there are the medicine if it respond well then okay otherwise no option then just remove. Then one of my friend told me to take him to homeopathy, so we consulted homeopathy doctor, he said gall stones can be removed in a natural way, only medicine to flush out gall stone is to take plenty of water and apple juice daily. He also given medicine for 3 months. Now, day before y'day he took scanning in that there is no stones by the god grace, and the liver also normal. My afraid is whether it will repeat in future, what will be the precaution to be taken. Doctor didn't tell anything about food, he told he can have anything. Now how are you feeling Hatley?

I definitely wouldn't make the decision of discontinuing medication without the advice of a medical professional. However, when it comes to the dietary changes that you all have made in your fathr-in-law's diet, I don't think that I would change any of those because that could cause the problems that he was having to return in full force at which point he would be miserable all over again. I know when you have gallbladder problems there are a lot of foods that you should avoid and I'm sure you wouldn't want to inadvertantly reintroduce one of those into his diet.

Hi dorannmwin, yes dorannmwin i took him to doctor y'day, the doctor also told him the same, not to stop the medicine and it should be continued at-least for 3 more months. I am giving him mild food and mostly juices and soups. I think still it will take time to recover. God is there, he will help him/us. Thanks for your nice sharing. Have a good day.
