renewing wedding vows

My mum and dad are renewing there vows in September, my dad has said he wants to write his own vows this time and so my mum has agreed to do the same the problem is that dad can read and write perfectly where as my mum can't so she has asked me to help but I don't have a clue I have asked her things like :
what made you fall in love
What do you still love about dad....
But coz mum is a little backwards in learning she doesn't know (or will not say!)
Can anyone please tell me where to start as it can't be hard for her to learn.....

This is sweet and even sweeter that your going to help.Maybe offer the suggestion of reading a poem that expresses some of your moms feelings toward your dad.Poetry can be beautiful in many ways.Good luck!

Hi Kategregory,
Your mom does not need to know how to read & write well in order to be able to speak her heart. If you could just get her to open up a little so that you had some idea as to how she felt then I'm sure you could write up something for her to memorize. If she could remember how they met and when he asked her to marry him, what made her say yes. The real key here is to get her to talk and share with you some of her fonder memories of their times together. It's a really sweet idea but it won't have much meaning if she doesn't use some of her own thoughts and emotions.

Bless them both, in an era where couples are so quick to give up. You are doing the right things by asking her. Maybe you should write a few things that you would like to hear and read them to her. Then ask her what about those phrases makes her happy to be married.
Write down every jumbled up thing she says then reconstruct them using her words. Hope this helps.

she can say what she felt when she met him.things they shared in their relationship like happy moments they shared, funny moments, bad things that turnt to be good and getting them more close to each other. and why she cant live her life without him anymore^^ tell her to say things from her heart and to dont think too much^^ just think with heart and remember things they've been through and im sure she will have wonderful vows to say to him^^ by the way happy day for them^^ i wish their marriage lasts forever^^

Since this is renewing of vow, Ask your mom what is really she want to tell to your dad. Remminish everything that makes her happy and more in love. That she is so happy because he is the guy he marry. The promises they told to each other. And make some quote, a love quote.
