It seems like there's really some major issues with the iPhone4 reception after all which is primarily due to the phone's antenna being constructed on the sides of the phone. Apple initially claimed that the fault was being a faulty configuration with the phone's reception firmware causing a wrong reception level reading. Though the problem was seemingly addressed, Apple still faced mounting criticisms and complaints without any form of improvements or resolve with the problem. Becoming a nightmare for their public relations and the company taking a toll where on Tuesday Apple's shares plunged by more than four percent after an influential guide gave the new iPhone 4 a poor review, wiping £6.5 billion off the firm's value. What I really think is funny about this is that I've heard the news about a possible worldwide recall and yet when I was in the AT&T store yesterday, it seemed like they were trying to push the iPhone on everyone that was there. I was there concerning an issue with my phone (not an iPhone, I don't think I need one.)And when it came to the fact that the problem with my phone was something that couldn't be fixed, the salesperson took me to the iPhone wall for my upgrade.

dorannmwin, The recall is not going to happen as Apple is giving away iPhone4 users the Vapor case circumvent the faulty reception problem and from the looks of it, seems to be working for now. As far as I am concern, it will be left much to be seen in coming weeks and I hope that it would really solve the problem or this will be the one of the biggest failure in Apple history. Incidentally, did you go for the iPhone offer? If the price is right and I were you, I would take up the offer. Ref: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20010686-1.html
