8Gb is of no use if the motherboard or the OS does not support it. For example Windows ME can support only 2Gb of RAM. It will fail to load if there are more than 2Gb installed. The more RAM the better, especially to a person who is a heavy computer user. I have 4Gb installed, and sometimes I wish I have more.

The maximum RAM size on the market is 4GB now. IF your using a 32 bit Operating system you cam only use up to 4GB of ram but if your using a 64bit of Operating System you can use it more than 4GB of RAM to your computer.
