President Obama's View On Children.

United States

Hello my fellow Mylotters, something has been bothering me since our President was elected. I noticed that during his presidential run he was always talking about the importance of children and their education. I watched the news cast when he signed his first two bills after becoming President. One of those two bills released funds for global abortion money. That needless to say shocked me. Some of my friends couldn't understand why I was shocked because all politicans say one thing but do something else. Do you think this is right, even though it is the norm? Do you think as America would should demand some level of honesty and truth? I want to hear from you....

I'm not sure how the system works in your country, but maybe you could try emailing his office or call up on the telephone & see what sort of response you get. I hope it's a misunderstanding of sorts. I think we should try to give him a chance to clarify the situation first as to where this money is actually going to & what it will be used for. Perhaps you can research it further on the internet? It bothers me that this has happened in a country where so many are opposed to abortion.

I haven't thought about trying to contact the President for clarification. Personally, I don't think it was a misunderstanding. I would just like people to mean what they say and say what they mean.

I don't mean this to be rude, but I don't see how this was dishonest. I am a mother of two children. I would walk in front of a bus for them. I care deeply about their future and the future of all children. However, I am pro-choice. Just because someone is pro-choice, does not mean that they do not care for children. Just something to think about...
