This is a movie I have to admit I'd never heard of until I came across it on Showtime the other night. "The Life Before Her Eyes" is about a rebellious teen whose school was the site of a Columbine-style massacre and stars Evan Rachel Wood as the teenaged Diana and Uma Thurman as Diana as an adult with a daughter of her own. The movie goes back and forth between the young Diana and the grown Diana with much of the scenes involving the former taking place in the school's restroom where Diana and her best friend face a horrifying and violent confrontation with the young killer. This is one of those movies that's very difficult to describe without giving too much away and if too much is given away it just doesn't have the impact it has otherwise. Anyone who sees it will know what I mean! I found it to be very well done and the acting was fantastic. Has anyone else seen it? Please, if you have don't give too much away without some kind of "spoiler alert"! Thanks! Annie

YES, that is a GREAT movie!!! I found it quite by accident. I was watching another movie & when the movies changed over, I was busy on myLot & just didn't change the channel. As many here have heard me say, I turn on movies while in myLot on Saturdays & I can tell how good a movie is by how close I watch it!!! Well, this movie started out a little slow & I even thought about changing it. Then I thought it would be a good movie to myLot with as it wouldn't distract me!!! Guess what??? Soon I was watching intently. I enjoyed it sooooo much that I went to Video on Demand & watched it again. You're correct as it would RUIN it if we give too many details!!!! So, I'm going to be good & just say...YOU'VE GOTTA WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

I found it by accident too as I was flipping through my channel guide. I like both actresses and I thought the subject matter looked interesting and I sure wasn't disappointed. Do you agree with me that they were a great choice to play the teen Diana and then the adult Diana? I'd never have thought there was any resemblance but there actually is, in a subtle kind of way. I think the movie is amazing. Uma Thurman plays extremely well and the way the flashes with her being young interrupt the stages of her adult life keeps your interest active till the end of the movie. I wasn't expecting for that ending, but I found it brilliant. It makes you think a lot, it makes you understand how you can see your entire life in a second. I think the movie is a must-see... I hardly think that it can disappoint anyone.
