At the American Solutions Real Job Summit, Newt Gingrich talked down to earth logic about the USA's recovery from its economic woes and from all the the foolishness enacted by the Obama administration. The speech is about an hour long, but it is also available to read if you had rather read it. I say "Newt for President 2012!!" What do you say?

Yes, the GOP should totally put Newt up for President in 2012. After he did such a bang-up job as Speaker of the House, who better to represent Republican political philosophy? After the way he treated each of his wives, who better to represent actual Republican family values!
Yes, indeed, please put Newt up for President in 2012. For bonus points, let's have Palin for VP again.

People bragged that Bill Clinton was a good leader. But look at what a mess his personal life was! He put poor Hillary through he11.

One difference between President Clinton and Gingrich: no one brags about Gingrich's leadership.
Another difference between Gingrich and President Clinton? Nothing he put Hilary through matches, let alone tops, serving divorce papers on someone as they're sitting in a hospital after cancer surgery. But, of course, Gingrich didn't stop there. No, after divorcing Jackie Battley to marry the woman he was having an affair with; he then divorced Marianne Ginther to marry the woman he was cheating on her with -- an aide.
Amazingly, he's managed to stay married, though no word who he's having an affair with this time around.
BTW, did I mention his first wife was his high school geometry teacher? Kinda creepy.
But, I concede: when it comes to putting your wife through hell, Newt beats Bill hands down every time!
Please, please, please have him run in 2012? Won't all this be fun? We can even talk about a church had to take up a collection to support Ms. Battley and their daughters because Newt wasn't paying child support! Pretty please with sugar on top go with the Deadbeat Dad Presidential candidate?

Why are you two playing my guy is not as bad as your guy so it is ok if I support him? They are both jerks. Set your standards higher...both of you.

I hope the republican party comes up with someone better than Newt to run in the next election. If not it looks like I will be voting third party...again.

The USA could do a lot worse than Gingrich for a president. I think he has learned a lot from his past mistakes and believe he will be a great leader.

Ya...we could do worse....but then we could do a WHOLE lot better too. I really think our standards when it comes to politicans is way toooo low.

@clrumfelt: I'll grant you that we could do alot worse than Ginrich for President -- we did from 2000 - 2008, after all. Palin, Huckabee, Santorum, and the guy from Law & Order would probably also been worse choices.
I am curious: What leads you to believe Gingrich has learned from his mistakes? Has he said what he thinks they are and what he learned from them?

Newt has a VERY questionable past, and I am sure that this "issues" will hinder him with the moral majority base of the republican party (unless he is going up against Rudy). It is very easy to look at our country today and blame the person in charge, and get everyone to support you. The question that those people need to ask is: How are you going to change this? The problem is that Newt wants to go back to the same policies that made this mess. Tax cuts for the rich, and wasteful spending on pork that gets you reelected created this mess that we have today. The other problem that Newt has is that many of the people that he brought into politics with his contract with America turned out to be closet Liberal spenders, and most of them are out of office now (some like Tom DeLay are a perfect example of what NOT to do in office). Look back at what he created, and what happened to the country, and you see a direct correlation between his leadership, and the current state of the country.
