Hey fellow mylotters. I am now 5 1/2 weeks pregnant to our first baby. I didn't realize that there are many things to consider to ensure that baby is healthy throughout my pregnancy period. I have learned a lot in just 5 1/2 weeks. I'm sure I don't know everything yet. If you can share more advices and tips that I should be aware of, please do so. At times I am worried of actions; I'm afraid I might be hurting my baby.

Don't go by your eatting for two now, yes you are but not two full size adults. Eat when your hungry and don't it your not. If you have cravings just don't over do it. All I wanted was chicken and Milk. I am a big sweets eater but my baby didn't like that and I would feel sick so I cut that out. And funny my daughter still isn't a big sweet eater and she is three now. Listen to you doctor and don't be afraid to ask them any question that you have, if you need to call and leave a message for the doctor if you need an answer before your next visit. Start sleeping on your side, back sleeping is not good for the baby. There are some really good books I had one called your pregnancy week by week that just explained what was happening that week it was nice to know what was going on in there. Remeber you can do the best you can no one is perfect. I didn't do anything wrong in my pregnacy, followed the rules my doctor gave me, but life happens and I had some problems and my daughter was born at 29 weeks. She is fine and is not behind at all so even when there are problem it can turn out just fine. Just know that being a mom is the hardest but most rewarding thing. I still feel like I am messing things up, but it helps to have family and friends tell me what a good mom I am and how polite and wonderful my little girl is. I just think part of being a mom is feeling guilty that your going to mess up, but it keeps you tring harder. And remember we have all surrived our childhoods.

First off, I'd like to wish you a happy and healthy nine months. You are right that there are a lot of things that you need to do to ensure that the baby will be healthy. However, you will also find that there are a lot of things that you don't really have to change about your life in order to make sure that the baby will be healthy. You are able to continue with physical activity that you take part in, as long as they aren't high impact. I think this was the golden information that I got when I was pregnant with my daughter.

many people are going to tell you about do's and don'ts but stop worrying abou all that. Take folic acid tabsuntil 12 weeks and then switch to multivitamin. Eat well and no binge eating. Eat when you feel like eating. Avoid MSG foods and fishes wih high mercury content.

When pregnant many people seem of offer advice or tell their birth story. The best thing to know is that the lady that is pregnant must eat a very healthy diet. She could do gentle exercise like walking or swimming. I know that joining a pregnancy chat site can be interesting. Then it is possible to chat with other ladies of the similar due date in pregnancy. I hope that the rest of your pregnancy will go very well indeed.

People are going to tell you everything in the world that you should or shouldn't do but your best bet is to listen to your doctor because he/she is the one that is monitoring everything that is going on with you and your baby. For me, having a normal pregnancy, not high risk or anything like that, I just took pre-natal vitamins like I was supposed to and tried not to lift anything heavy or anything like that. I love sweet tea so giving that up was a major no no. I did cut back and start drinking tons more water than I had previously. As far as my eating habits though, I ate more chicken than anything because it was what I wanted all the time...lol Just trust yourself and your doctor because every pregnancy is different so what they did or didn't do might not apply to you. My baby boy was born 110% healthy, and has only had 1 cold in the 13 months that he has been alive. So, I guess I did something right. =)
You and your baby will be fine. Stressing over it will make you crazy. Trust, me...been there, done that. he he.
Congrats on becoming a mommy, its the best feeling in the whole entire world! I can already tell you're going to be a great mother since you're already worried about your little one. =)
