Do you usually give gifts to your Godchild?

How many Godchildren do you have and who are they for you? I mean is that the kids of your siblings, relatives or friends? What do you think they have chosen you to be their Godparents? How do you budget your gifts for them? What kind of gifts do you usually give for them and why?
I have 2 Godchildren, one is the daughter of my brother and the other one is the son of our neighbor that is actually the maid of my Aunt before. When they were like 1 or 2 years old I am really giving them many gifts during Christmas day and my budget for them is actually $25 for each since they are just 2. But then if that would be added that will be the time that I can't give too many gifts that I can, that could be depending on my budget. Usually I am giving them toys from Toy Kingdom and other than that it is story book. But there was a time that I gave them educational books and clothes as well to my grandson since I don't want to add so many toys that others can give them. To my niece I actually gave her a book of Santino collection since she likes the child actor here in the Philippines, that was all about the stories from the bible.

Yeah in our culture there is gift giving during christmas day but not all people are doing it. I understand others due to their status in life but of course there are others that are just plain selfish.

I actually don't have any godchildren. However, my brother has my son as a godchild and my sister has my daughter as a godchild. They both tend to get the kids a little something every now and then just because and when it comes to their birthdays, my brother will get a little bit more for my son and my sister will get a little bit more for my daughter. I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to have godchildren as well so that I could spoil them to some degree.
