I keep thinking of the word. I only concentrate on the word. I repeat the word many times. Then I look up the definition. Then I use the words in sentence. This helps me to comprehend the word, so I remember it when I need it. A great study tip is to keep think of the word, and repeat it, and if you don't know the definition of the word, you can look it up. Come test time, you'll remember the word you studied.

I think those are great ideas! One thing that always works for me is to read/speak/write. Meaning I'll read it over and over then Ill use it in a sentance then I'll write it down in a notebook, with its definition so that I can look it over again. If a test is coming up ill make flashcards too and that way I can test myself right before going in to take the test.

This is a good technique and I used it when I was just learning English and I had not read books to improve vocabulary. But now that I know many tips to remember words, I think this technique is not the best. The best way to remember a word is to associate it with something you already know.

I associate it to anything I am familiar with. Even non sense connections work.
