Nintendo WII vs XBox vs PS3

I'm thinking of getting my kids a gaming system soon and I can't decide what to get. They're young girls ages 10 & 5. I want something that they will both enjoy. As well as something that's durable. I'm not really into games so I don't know anything about gaming systems. Please give me your suggestions and why?

I am not really the right guy tso ask: most of my games are on PC. We still have a Dreamcast. A lot of parents that I know have gone for a Wii, because it also has a lot of fitness and knowledge applications too.

We have a PC with lots of games on it but I want them to use the PC for their studies not for gaming. I heard too that parents prefer Wii.

If they would be a bit older I would go for PS3 hands down. However I would go for the WII in that situation. The games are fun and you can even save money buying them by just copying the CDs ( requires a different procedure than normal CDs) :)

Thanks for the advice. I think I will enjoy Wii too lol. I'm thinking of getting Wii Fit for myself :)
