Srilanka in a strong position after day 1 with 2 centuries......256/2(68 over)

Srilanka finished day 1 in a good position .
Only 68 overs were bowled in the 1st day of 1st test.
after winning the toss Lankans choose to bat and made 256 runs with the help of 2 centuries from Paranavitana and Sangakara.
Paranavitana 110 and Jayawardana 8 are on the crease at the end of the day.
Mithun and Sehwag took the wicket.
Mithun took hiss 1st international test wicket.
Indian bowlers once again struggled to took wickets.
So sri lanka is in a good position after day 1.

Yes Lanka have the upper hand now .
But the rain is playing lead role and i think the test will be draw.

Yes, it was a spineless performance by the Indian bowlers. They lacked penetration throughout the day. If anything Mithun looked the most penetrative which is really a damning assessment of veterans such as Bhajji and players like Ishaant who have been around for some time. But looking at the wicket, there does not seem to be too many demons except for the fact that the pitch is turning and turning big. So the pitch is tailor made for Murali to have a swan song.

Yes i have to agree with you what you have said . Dhoni mens are struggling out there to took wicket and harbhajan singh his suffering from flu its bad decision to play with him in todays match . Ishant should show some sign of taking wicket tomorrow and he should not lose confidence and he should trust himself to take wicket. Lets hope for the best tomorrow . Tomorrow sun should rise in favoring on us.
