Ladies, What Do You Do About Your Moustache Problem?

Us girls can be a bit sensitive about this so I shall try to be careful what I say. However, my intention isn't to show ladies up..far from it, I would just like you all to open up and maybe we could have a laugh AT EACH OTHER. It's great therapy I think. Anyway, as far as my "moustache problem" goes I don't really have one. By that I mean, I have the odd whisker here and there that I pull out with tweezers. They tend to be black too..awful things. No, what I suffer from is "down." This is very fair hair on the face, usually around the cheeks and yes, above the top lip. I don't do anything about this "down" as, like I say,it's very fair although make-up can make it look worse if I'm not careful. Apparently, it's an Aries trait so that makes me feel a bit better! Mum's hair started turning grey when she was about 34 but she doesn't dye it and she's 64 now. It looks fine. She doesn't have a "tash" problem either but a few years ago she did, presumably coinciding with "the change." The times I have seen her with a bleached tash is hilarious. I'm surprised she didn't go out like that as she would sometimes forget this bleach was there. Don't worry, it wasn't bleach you put down the toilet, it's special cream that she used for getting rid of the "tash." So, do you have to take drastic action with your "tash" or do you have (mainly) "down" like me?

I'm a downy girl, but I started out blonde and have only gone whiter as I age I don't wear make up so that's not an issue ON the other hand... my roommate has to shave her whiskers and its not just a 'tash, its all over her face... I guess the good part is that Oliver loves it and gets quite put out when she shaves it...

Oliver is the little black and white kitten in my avatar, only he's closer to 5 years than the almost 4 months he was when the pix was taken...

Tweezers for everything. Eventually you have less and less. I must say, Im a bit of a freak when it comes to hair that isnt on my head or above my eyes.....everything is tweezed or shaved.

I wax using sally hansen wax strips but sometimes it would really irritate my skin so I changed to this depilitory cream by sally hansen specially made for that area. It works good but it tends to irritate my skin as well but not as bad as the waxing did. My only complaint is that within about two days I have prickly hairs growing out again. When I wax the results last longer then that so I think I will probably go back to waxing. My hair there is very fine and light but it just bugs me to have any hair there at all so I prefer to remove it.

Well I get an occasional red hair there but really mine is just like blond and a little longer then peach fuzz I guess you could say. Even if its blond and not as noticeable when in the bright sunlight viewing my profile you can see it and its gross I think so I prefer to remove it all. Doing it by tweezers would take to long. I had a dream last night that my sisters got so bad that she started growing a full beard lol.

Have you ever tried tweezers? I much prefer them to cream or strips, especially for the odd black hair I get now and again. Can't see the blond ones so I don't do anything with them (they're at the side of my mouth, not along the top) and they're very fine..the black ones are thicker, which is why I remove those.

i've got dark hair so my tash is dark,i used to bleach it,but that got very boring after a while as i had to do it every week, now i use wax strips formulated for facial hair,it's much easier and less time consuming

Thanks for your honesty, it's much appreciated. I've actually learned something from you as well..I never realised that there were wax strips formulated for facial hair...so if I ever have a problem with it I now know what to do. Thank you.

I have some hair above my lips but most of it is really light, there are only a few darkish ones that I just pluck out. I do have the odd dark hair that appears on my neck every now and then, which I also pluck out with tweezers. I think it runs in the family as I have some family members who have a lot of facial hair but they dont seem to care about it as they dont remove it.

I'm such a soft thing that I hate using tweezers, however necessary they might be. Only if a rogue hair gets a bit out of control do I arm myself with them. As for my eyebrows, I very rarely pluck them either!
