When you go out, how much money do you keep in your wallet?

Whenever I leave, I make sure that I keep at least 500 in my wallet. That 500 is always there (for emergency cases). I don't bring cash that much. What I have are cards. I don't want to bring much cash because burglars are just around the corner to attack.

I usually only keep a few dollars in my wallet. For one, when I was a kid, my mother told me too many stories of how people gets robbed on the streets for me not to be scared. Also, I like shopping a lot and having less money means less chance of me using the money to buy things.

well if its a routine like work or school its usually just twice of what i spend for food and transportation. But i usually have some in my bag and such for those emergency purposes but not really that much.

Yes I agree with you . I too don't have large amount of money in wallet . I too keep 100 for emergency purpose otherwise i use my card as you said. Its not advisable to keep more cash of wallet and not safe too.

Whenever I go out like to a club or the mall or anywhere, I typically only carry about $20 on me in cash just because there aren't a lot of places that don't accept check/debit cards. I feel a lot safer just having my cards because, god forbid, someone tried to mug me or my friends, the only thing they'd get away with really would be $20 in cash if I even had it on me still. That way I wouldn't lose hardly any money at all.
