Now I'm reading some book, which seems so exciting and interesting. And I realize that I can't to put it down. In my job, every moment when my boss isn't beside me, I take it and read, even if I must to work in that time. Also I read it, when I'm riding a bus, and when I'm eating or going. I think it will last till I finish it. From one side it is great, because writer has wrote something really special, but from other side it is terrible, because I live in another reality, I can't to function normal in daily life with all my duties. What about you - have you ever read some book, which you couldn't put away until you have read it? And if yes, what was this book?

Yes this has happened to me a lot of times! I'm a voracious reader and when I'm reading I cannot be disturbed sometimes. About the titles, hmmm I seem to forgot some of it but the the last book I read in one sitting was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I'm terrible for this. I often think to myself, "just one more chapter", but it never is! It always seems to be at bedtime and I catch myself reading into the small hours by accident and still finding it hard to put the book down, even though I can barely keep my eyes open.

I discovered Terry Pratchett this way. I now have a library that I reread constantly - him and a few others. You may like to read Jasper Fforde's "Thursday Next" series - sci-fi/humour may not be your thing, but if it is (and believe me, the books are funny - as well as exciting) then these explain just why it is that we can't put books down, and why places come alive in our minds. It starts with "The Eyre Affair" - I believe it's listed here. There's a place called the Bookworld, see - it's where all the story ideas are made, before being injected into writers' minds. Every time a reader gets engrossed, the characters have to play their parts, while machines measure it all and make adjustments. When books aren't being read, the characters go off and have a ciggie and play a game of poker. That's in Jane Austen mind, cos her books are a bit ... I'll get my coat.

Yes. It usually happens to me. I am always engrossed in all the books I read. I can never seem to put the books down. That is why I usually sleep in the wee hours of the morning when I am reading a novel. I always feel I have to finish the book because I want to know the ending already.

Hahahaha. I felt that when I was reading the Twilight books. LOL. I know it's kinda shallow, but it really got me reading for 3 whole days IN THE OFFICE. Hahahhaa. It was actually an ebook that I was reading, so for 3 days, that was the only thing I was doing in the office. LOL. I know it's bad, but I really made up for it after that. Hahahah.

Sounds kinda like me when I have a book period. Except I don't try sneaking time to read when I'm not supposed to... like while working or during a class lecture. But I'm always snatching a minute here and there. At the table, waiting for (insert anything you can wait for here), and I read on the train all the time. Standing up holding the book open with one hand and hanging on for dear life with the other if I have to. I'm just that kind of reader. I've learned to balance my love of reading with life though. I do NOT live in a fantasy world all the time. I just vacation there more than most people.

Hi, Earlier, I had a very liking for reading a lot and now-a-days, I know that it become minimal time for reading. I can see people reading books in bus, trains and even offices. These areas become much crowded and no peace of mind around and won't get atleast 15 mts. free for any thing. May be the surrounding eating up the time in such a way and our valuable peaceful time is getting deteriorated. Getting some time for reading news papers is a blessing, I think. However, there I know there are a lot of peopele still exploit their time to read good books and enhance their life more joyful and find happy in reading books. Regards, Thank-s

I've read several books that I quite enjoyed, but I mostly read on the bus to school. In the day, there's just too many things to get done. :) One of my favourites was: Cell, by Stephen King.

it depends on what kind of book. i don't know what the book you are reading. as far as i'm concerned, i would have a crush on books like novels that have fantastic plots, twists and turns. But books about science, geography and professions can not motivate my interest.
