I like both Amazon and Ebay. I shopped at both stores but never for books. If you buy a printed book, where do you go first - Amazon or Ebay and why?

I always start at amazon as they usually have what I am looking for and may different options for price. I usually also have some gift cards for amazon saved up so really for me it is like shopping for free. I also like that I don't have to wait for an auction to end but can get it right away.

I also like Amazon, shop there sometimes. I never tried gift cards. If you can save with them, it's very good. I should also try it some day.

I usually go to amazon as you can get books for a penny a piece which is very nice. I don't really trust ebay. I have bought books from another place online as well, but we don't really buy books all that much and when we have in the past most of the time it was for family members as a gift and not for us.

Amazon is so good, I agree. And yes, many people are skeptical about eBay. It's not very easy to trust it. But it's good too, you just need to be careful.

Amazon all the way-They are a professional website unlike eBay where you deal with a person...

Right you are. Amazon is more like professional while on eBay you deal with people and very different people often. I'm a little bit afraid of eBay sometimes but luckily I never had trouble there.

For a printed book, I usually go to the Ebay site first. This is because used books on ebay tend to sell for a very minimal amount, while books on amazon have a fixed price. Since Ebay is an auction site, items will often sell for drastic deductions off of the actual retail price.

eBay offers very good deals, and actually you can win a good deal if you're persistent. Amazon uses fixed prices but you don't need to take part in a race.
