A car that's a "To a T" for me for the "Here and Then".

I drive a '95 model Mitsubishi Lancer GLi. An old car to date, but in no way aging. As most of car fanatics out there, I dreamed to have an exotic super car, Ferrari and the likes. Alas! I didn't get my dream car when I finally got my license. Instead I got my current car now. At first my car was too "Vanilla" for me. It felt "uncool" to drive, and some of my colleagues even ridiculed my ride. I was starting to feel ashamed when I drive it... Then I had other cars to drive. The list are as follows, a turbo charged 2000 Hyundai Elantra, 1998 Mazdaspeed 3, some pickup trucks and utility vans, compact SUVs, and a Datsun 280zx Fairlady Z. Driving those other cars were nice, except for the pickup trucks and utility vans. With each car I drive, I learn more about cars. I even learn how to race, legally and a bit illegally... I went back riding my own car again. And in contrary to what I was supposed to feel after all those great rides, I begin to appreciate riding my car more. Even to compare it with the 280zx. Don't get me wrong, the 280zx is a good car, but driving it in a city traffic is very tiring. It doesn't feel good after being stuck for half a day in traffic. My car is perfect in city driving. It still feels capable and comfortable as a Honda Fit. And as luck comes my way, I was able to drive my friend's car. Same car as mine but with an EVO kit. Boy!!! I never thought it is possible that my car can become like this monster of a ride. It's great on a circuit and in drag racing, but it's civilized enough for city driving. Just pure wow!!! I now see my car with lots of potential, and planning to add upgrades for it to turn it into an EVO. Now, I'm a proud owner of my car. Soon, it would be converted to an EVO. This car was perfect for me then, when it was holding my hand while I was learning to drive. It is a perfect car for me now as a comfortable business ride with good gas mileage and classy looks (now). And it shall be a perfect car for me in the future as it begin to evolved into an EVO. What's your car's story? Is your car "To a T" for you?
