Solving the water crisis

It's all over the news and it's official, there is a water crisis. Looks like the cloud seeding is not bringing in results and the supply is way down. I remember my dad told me before that in saudi arabia where water is very limited, they use a machine that purifies water from the sea that becomes drinking water. I think the government should look into this. The technology has been their for over 20 years so why not give it a shot. I know some will say it will cost money. But this is for a long term solution for the country.
