Sponsor a surgery?

A family member of mine wants to have a gastric bypass and she has no money to do so. She says she needs a sponsor so how could she get one? and who would want to sponsor?

Often times medical research/training schools will sponsor doing such surgeries so that the medical students can watch, learn and participate. There is an associated risk with such as you are dealing with students but they are always supervised by a fully accredited doctor.

well, but gastric bypass surgery is not considered under emergency medicine. it is under cosmetic procedures.. to stop the stomach from allowing the person to eat more.
it is used mostly for obese!

Under some cases gastric bypass can be deemed medically necessary, not just a cosmetic procedure. In these cases insurance will cover such surgery. But either way, it is still completed by a doctor and is often training on how to do such a procedure is taught at a medical school.

instead, it would be very nice if you have discussed about the gastric bypass, obesity, and associated surgery, complications, etc .... and the economic implications to the patients involved.
