Would you rather shop alone or with gal/guy pals?

I shop with my family sometimes, often with my sister. Since I like to hear their comments on my choice of the item which I plan to buy. I learn a lot from my sibling. Like my oldest sister specialty is in term of shoes design she get an excellent views and when it comes to choice of dress which fit me, it's actually my younger sister. Other times when I really like an item despite all the contradiction my decision win at the end. Such as when it is all about a personal item I rather shop alone. Of course my best mates no other than my trusted friend though when I like to be unique or not to be imitate. I like to shop alone especially when they are busy or no one else to accompany me. How about you?

just like you i love to shop with a companion. i really feel lonely when i have no companion. i am not really so sure of my choice so i need a second opinion most of the times. especially if the item i plan to buy is very expensive i need to consult my closest friend.

mostly i am going for shopping alone,but i am not doing shopping regularly,some times i will bring little groceries to my house and my mother's house,neither i go shopping with wife or friend,if it is distance shopping i will ask a friend,who is having motor cycle to have a ride up to the shopping mall,have a nice day

Shopping alone could be good when the things you buy compos of small item. And having a friend to help you when you buy heavier item is good since he could help you carrying the item. Aside from hearing his opinion on the things you buy could get some advices tips like buying cheap item but still of high quality. thanks.

Hiya Neelia, we meet here again. For me, I prefer to shop alone. Unless there are some good company around, like we are all looking for the same thing or something. If not, I prefer to look for things myself, because I'm not a fussy shopper. I'm the type to touch and go, if you know what I mean.. it's always comfort first for me when choosing things to buy.

ola! that ok as long as you felt more rewarded doing it alone gives you more time to think and select wisely the item you like to buy without intervention coming from peers. Or most of the time when it comes to personal matter you value more your own persona choice when you feel confident. Sometimes asking for opinion matter most when you are in doubt. Hopefully, you already know your interest so be it!
yup, comfort should be the first priority to satiate one needs rather than want alone..

I much prefer shopping alone. That way, I can look at what I want, when I want, for as long as I want.
I can concentrate on my needs and not be distracted by looking at things I have no interest in.
I hate shopping with my husband. He soesn't shop around at all. The first thing he sees that is even remotely appropriate is good enough for him, and it drives me nuts.

It is a known fact lot of males does not like shopping. they are mostly impulsive buyer most of the time they have no motivation to meticulous search for good item or haggle at a lower prices. Shopping alone as you already mention gives you more opportunity to think and select wisely. thanks.

Well, some guys enjoy shopping when it is all about an item exclusively for them. While other have no patience to accompany their girlfriend like buying a shoes then just stare for an hours of waiting when the girl could finally select her item of choice. thanks.

I agree with you. truly even in the midst of the crowds i feel like a stranger and being alone could be quite sad. When you bump with a group with lot of companion just happy doing shopping together. Even one have enough money it is a different feeling having someone to go along with you to shop.

Well, it depends. Most of the times, I prefer shopping with my family members or friends, since I like to hear their comments on what I want to buy as you do. Moreoever, it's more interesting to shop with someone else beside me. But there are also times when I'd like to be all by myself. For instance, when I'm not in a good mood, I don't want to be with others whatever I do. I just want to be alone and enjoy that private time.

Also it a lot of fun having them as it only mean you trust their opinion matter as long as their is respect. like if you select an item they just advices but never really pressure you to dislike them and the final yes still rely on you. That very true and perhaps being alone shopping gives you more time to think of quality first before buying than relying on impulse alone. thanks.

hehehe sometimes I just log in to comment on my pat discussion or from friends. often just use the search bar or just read some unique discussion. I am so glad to see you here in my post..
Shopping alone could be tiring and boring sometimes. But if one like to be unique and be private in her choice of item without intervention from other it would be good. often just like you more happy with a companion which is also a good things sharing more view on certain item one could get a lot of tips on which item should be trusted like what the fashion is in and what is not..thanks

I like window shopping with other people. Whenever I think out loud, I like to be around friends so it doesn't give the impression that I'm a headcase who needs to be in a straight jacket. My inner monologue bores the heck out of me, so that's why I prefer to communicate verbally most of the time.

I enjoy shopping alone. I can look at what I want and buy what i want without worrying about what someone else may think of my choice. It's nice to have friends to go shopping with, but it is not a necessary requirement for me. I find that when i shop with someone else, I tend to buy what pleases them instead of myself. This is one reason that I enjoy shopping on line. Your shopping is private and convenient to you. No hassles from anyone else makes shopping a more pleasant experience.

yeah, shopping alone gives you more opportunity to think wisely and no one could influence your decision. Like being influence by other when you have companion. others dislike the ideas since they like to shop privately with absence of disturbance. And they could move freely and select wisely the item of their choice. Also think of buying only the necessary things which could be a lot of savings. thanks.

I love to have many companion. but like them to shop also. i am not happy to buy then they do not have money. i hate them to feel jealous on me. so it is a plan by all friends to buy something that we could all afford.

If there's nothing in particular that I have to buy, I would like to shop with my friends because you get to ask their opinions. But if I'm going for a Christmas shopping, I would rather do it alone since I don't want my friends to see what gifts I will buy for them. When shopping with my family, what we buy is mostly for our home needs so the better if they are present so we give pick the right choice.

what a name? remind of the song billionaire...
that ok gifts are meant to be surprises so anyone get the ideas and their is a tendency they would imitate. Aside from they would be able to know how much the gift cost. So the thrill of surprise is eliminated. And in terms of purchases intended for family usage that the right ideas to have a companion. So you they would all agree and their would be no blaming in case your choice of item is dislike by them. thanks..

I do the same things but usually not with friends. i go along well with my sibling. I do not have the urge to bother other people even those closest friends since they might be busy unless they invite me. the same with you i am willing to accompany them especially when they treat me for free. i would not really hesitate to go with them. thanks.

I definitely prefer to shop alone. Shopping is a chore, whether simply grocery shopping or buying a new 3 piece suite, so it is certainly not something that I would choose to extend by having company with me.
I know that many people prefer to be in company to exchange views and opinions on what to purchase, but I am only likely to purchase products according to my own choice so it would serve no purpose for me.

If I'm still young, I would easily say that i like to go shopping with friends, and family. But now, I have this feeling that I enjoy being alone when shopping. Sometimes I can think more when I'm alone. I know that salespeople tend to push you to buy their stuffs although sometimes it doesn't look really that good on you, just for them to have sales, but i learned how to deal with that. And I often look for the newest and best styles before going around so I know if I'm buying something really ugly or something really nice.

good for you as you are not an impulsive buyer who just buy whatever one like without even thinking about the price or if the item is of good quality before buying. This avoid you to make a quick wrong decision. it is fine to have sort of self control and think first ahead before buying something which one could wear and not just go on buying from a friend likes when at the end you even have not like to wear it. thanks.

I prefer to shop with my family, as I like seeing my children react to what they see and notice. They do tend to say "Can I have this daddy" but I secretly like that and although I don't always give into their demands I do like treating them. I don't like shopping with friends, I enjoy time alone shopping with my wife but that's about it.
Personally I'm not much of a shopper though.

I like to shop alone or with my husband. We don't really care about clothes that much, as long as it fits and is sensible. I am a fast shopper so no doddling around for me, this suits my husband very good to as he likes to run in and get something and then run out.

If I'm looking for something in particular, I prefer to shop alone. That way, I don't get distractedby something I don't need. However, should I be "just looking", it's nice to have company, someone to discuss fashion with.

That is a good thing having a helpful companion is good aside from you could ask her/his opinion at the same time. Then you also have somebody who would help you carry all the items you purchase. it is a good way to seek other approval when planning to buy something when one is in doubt with her selection. thanks.
