Days set aside to hang out?

Almost a year ago, I got back in touch with a high school buddy that I haven't seen in years. We ran into each other by an accident at this restaurant. Me & my girl-friend were driving by this one restaurant & we both haven't tried it before so we decided to go in & have dinner. Half way through the dinner, I've noticed few people were coming in & out of the lower level of the restaurant. And one of them was my high school friend that I lost touch with for a while. Make a long story short, we said hi & had short conversation. He said he was there on his weekly poker game. He invited me the following week & now I've been going there ever since, every wednesday night. I even adjusted my work schedule to be there. Anybody here have one day out of week or month set aside to hang out with friend or attend something with a buddy like poker games or movies?

Having a day to just hang out with a buddy seems to help. Just getting away from everyday stuff. May be you guys can suggest something from the neighborhood, all the hubby's do something & all the wives do something else, once a month may be... I don't know.
