Werewolves and Vampires

We all know that according to myth, vampires drink blood- that's why they bite people- although the process can also be used to turn someone into a vampire. OK, that seems reasonable. But what about werewolves? They bite you and you turn into one of them if you have not been torn to shreds. I've never seen a werewolf eat in a movie. So do they just survive on ordinary foods when they are in human form?

I used to watch a show that was about werewolves. When they were in human form, then they ate human food. When they were in werewolf form, they looked like regular wolves and ate accordingly. They usually did not attack humans, but they would if their community or identities were threatened. In this show, though, a werewolf bite would not turn you ... you had to be born one, although it did not say how the first werewolves came into existence. They also did not have to wait for a full moon to turn into a wolf - they could do it at will, but it took time for them to learn how to do it whenever they wanted to .. just like it takes time to learn just about anything else.

That's an interesting take against the familiar story. Thanks for sharing it!

If we base it from the movie Twilight, werewolves eat ordinary human foods when they are in human form ore even in their werewolf form. They eat ravenously large amounts of food, more than the average human can eat. And they got hot abs like Jacob. LOL

So if I want good abs (mine could do with a hand) I have to get bitten by a very large two legged dog. Might just be worth it!

Tee he. I always thought that really good abs were a myth peddled by the likes of GQ!

It's just a myth. Do they ever exist in real life? I was talking about the movie.

unless you provoke me with all the MOON SHINE, .. i will not get aggressive,. so, there is no danger for you to be around me. ***unless of course, you wear a necklace, made of moon-stones, around your neck.. .. i am not a vampire, so, not interested in your neck..and the throbbing veins. I prefer to be alone, and, i don't need to eat anything. as, I drool a lot, and that itself is full of nutrition and minerals. hahahaha.

So stay low, and plenty of garlic in the diet then.

Yep, they're just like us. Thing is, you never see ANYONE eat in the movies - apart from when it's part of the plot. Even then, they dash off leaving what they've ordered behind. Few more facts: No-one ever bothers getting change from a cabbie - they just thrust a 20 dollar bill into the driver's hand and dash off. No-one ever needs the toilet - unless it's a Ben Stiller movie. If there's a disaster, no family has more than one child, and they're always over 10 years old. Monsters and serial killers only ever stalk towns devoid of anyone under the age of 17. No-one ever burps. Or buys loo roll. Girls NEVER have periods.

He he. All very true. I am now applying for the job of a cabbie in a movie. I'll make a mint!!

wow, jazzsue.. you seem to have a wonderful analytical mind.. over movies. and, Memnon.. don't you make millions, if you are a cabbie of the movies.. because .. for every re-take, you will be thrusted with twenty dollar bills. but, do they print the dollar-bills? .. or do they use the true bills for the shooting?

When you think about it there are a lot of vagaries in the movies if you analyse them!

Here in the Philippines, we have our version of Werewolves. But I think they are just a myth because I have never seen one in my entire life. I even wait for them when the Moon is up for them to show up, they never did show up. Our version here of Werewolves are "Aswang", and I think ours are more sophisticated than European Werewolves because ours can take a form of a wolf, of a cat, of a pig, and sometimes they can fly!

I have heard of Aswang: I understand that legend has that they can take human form too: and that their blood lust is triggered by pregnancy- abducting the mother to raise their own young. More sophisticated than their European counterpart. Let's hope that your moonlight vigils do not bear fruit!

Hmm. Difficult choice. I'm guessing that most girls would go for a vampire, werewolves seem pretty much out of control when the mood takes them.....

This is the third time I've tried to type my answer on here, let hope it sticks this time! Personally, i think werewolves just eat the same as us humans. The theory is; that werewolves don't stay in animal form all the time - only during the full moon and whenever they need to turn. But the rest of the time they are in human form, and hence, they just eat what we all do...

Third time lucky. I too have had some site access problems. Their eating habits would make them rather difficult to detect until it' pretty much too late!
