I'm not exactly young any more, I hate to say, but thank you, anyway, lol! I'm 58 years old! I don't really feel it, though. I try not to think about age that much. I'm just thankful to be alive and to be as healthy as I am. I really do enjoy riding horseback and I'm going to keep riding for as long as I'm able.

YEs I wrote that and got a page with some thing on it but not your pics. FOUnd them here in your profile. sounds like fun being in a horse show wished I could have done that when I was riding!

I used to ride in the horse shows all the time when I was younger but this was my first time to ride in a rodeo. The other girl and I did pretty good for it to be our first performance. We made a few mistakes but nobody seemed to notice. The last horse show I rode in was in 1967! It was a lot more fun to show back then because there wasn't quite as much competition as there is now. Competition is stiffer these days. I only won one time, though, and that was with a Shetland Pony I had as a child. I won 3rd place in the pony class and I was so proud of that, lol. I still have my ribbon, as a matter of fact. That was in 1961.

I don't know why you couldn't find them. Did you type in EASI in the search box at the top of the page? Maybe I can put them on my profile page in mylot and you can see them then. All of the pictures turned out good. The problem is, nobody out at EASI knows who put them on facebook, lol!

I wish you could tell more about me, too, lol! Maybe one of these days you can! I just didn't know the picture was going to turn out to be so small. I still have a lot to learn about the internet. Yes, we enjoyed it very much! Our instructor wants us to perform at a horse show one of these days and I'm looking forward to that.

It's just so heartwarming to see a child's face light up whenever he/she rides one of the horses out there!

Thank you, quita! I'm so glad you like the story and the horse. I've been wearing a helmet whenever I ride since 1979 because I had a head injury that year when my horse, Tumbleweed, stumbled and fell with me and I fell off. Daddy made sure I got a helmet before I did any more riding after that. I don't feel right without a helmet now. Everybody who rides out at EASI is required to wear a helmet. If you don't wear a helmet, you don't ride. Also, nobody is allowed to do any riding unless some of the staff is at the barn. My riding skills have improved so much since I've been involved with EASI and I know daddy would be proud. He taught me a lot about how to ride a horse but he always wanted me to take lessons. Those of us who volunteer out there get our lessons free of charge.

Hi Antiquelady! No, I'm sorry to say, that I didn't get your birthday greeting. My birthday was in February, though. It's understandable when you have trouble with your responses, though. I had a spot taken out of my leg a little over a month ago and it got infected, I hate to say. The doctor put me on antibiotics and I had an allergic reaction to them. I had to go to the emergency room because my doctor wanted somebody to take my blood pressure. The doctor in the ER put me on some new antibiotics and I didn't have any problems with them. My leg is doing a lot better now. Then, I bought some new flip flops and they made a blister on the top of my right foot and it got infected. This was the same leg where I had the first infection! I went to the after hours clinic about my foot and the doctor there put me on antibiotics for it! I had an allergic reaction to them, too! I went to my regular doctor about this and she put me on a different kind of antibiotic. Everything is a lot better now. I don't think I'm going to fool with flip flops any more! As you can see, I've really had a rough time! I'm just glad I made it through the rodeo without any problems. As far as mylot is concerned, I've been considering quitting it because there was so much I didn't like about it. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause any hurt feelings. I have missed it, though, and you might see me again from time to time. I missed all the good discussions, the earnings, giving and getting the best responses, etc.
