Hillary Clinton is primed to run for the office of the President of the United States of America in 2012. A lot will depend on the November congressional results in relation to how this timeline would fit for the Democrat party. Your thoughts? eric

Obama will get first choice if he wants to run again. As a sitting president he gets that right. So unless Obama decides not to run...and I don't see why he wouldn't run...then Hilary will have to wait til the election after that. But I do think she will try to run again one day.

I think it will depend on several things...one being his poll numbers...they are still high he will probly run again. Also on if he is fustrated with the whole process and ready to leave..which I imagine he isn't. Unless some major scandel breaks out or something majorly bad happens...I don't see Obama deciding NOT to run.

Obama can get many things done since he was chosen, but does he, himself really judge success on 4 or 8 years? Maybe you are right, since he has been in campaign mode far too often for my liking, but hasn't he let slip that he is willing to be a one term President? Best wishes, Eric

The Democrat Party will be behind Obama, they have to. To go with anyone else is the same as admitting the President was a failure.

thanks for sharing ... the Party agenda or forces behind the party is what counts the most ... that is why we have seen such an active amount of legislation, regardless of popularity or polls under this administration diba? Failure at the level of the Presidency should never be judged in "real-time" but since the position has its ups and downs in regard to reverence and respect, do you think the current President has been a model of the executive branch? best wishes, Eric

No. Not going to happen. I love Hilary. She was my Senator. I voted for her every chance I could. I still adore her. But when Obama defeated her in 2008 it was the begining of her end. Accepting the Sec. of State position was another nail in her political coffin. Barak Obama is not undefeatable. But there are a handful of people who have no hope of winning an election against him. Hilary is one of them, though it pains me to say it. But it's the truth - and she knows it. Mark my words, she wont even try.

We shall see. All the points that you make can be "used" as a plus or a negative. A quick review of the Power of the past few administrations shows how non-transitional our electoral process is ... i.e. 12 yrs of Bushes and 8 of Hillary already ;) ... I'll share some specifics in the week if you want to explore further. best wishes, Eric
